Nye Toyota Service

I have a 2023 Toyota Highlander Lease. I am a Senior Citizen and I don't live on a busline...I need my vehicle to run around and pick up groceries, etc. Something I never saw before suddenly showed up on the dashpanel of my car..It looked like a tipped over oil can and then there was a Green strip across the dash panel indicating something...I need to run errands and I was told I should have the vehicle towed for service...I recently had my car serviced as well so this shouldn't be happening. Having my car towed would be fine if they offered me a rental, but I had no such offer. By the way, I have less than 8,000 miles on the vehicle. I need the car for Monday as I teach a ZUMBA class, but I was not offered a rental or anything to drive until my car was repaired. (All they want are positive reviews, but they don't learn what the customer wants and needs if everything is positive... ) This dealership is SALES oriented only, they don't have the staff to support friendly repair service when it is needed. They even recommended I contact STEET which is worse for Service because I did contact them. They are closer to my home. However they are just as bad or worse...Don't people believe in customer service anymore? Heck, when my parents wanted to buy a car they were allowed to take it off the lot for a weekend to try it out...No such service is available anymore. Thank you for letting me vent and any help from your dealership would be much appreciated...

I was quoted $1800 for brake service for our ‘23 Highlander with 32k miles. I thought the hybrid with the regenerative brake system would have longer lasting brakes. I got a second opinion from our local mechanic and he said the pads and rotors didn’t need replacement, and if they did, he wouldn’t charge more than $700 to $800 at the absolute most for a full brake job. I did call Nye back to make sure I didn’t misunderstand them, and sure enough, it was $1800 for brakes. I told the service advisors I was stunned it was that much, and they didn’t really offer much of an answer, but they offered to knock off $50 dollars. I politely declined. It’s unfortunate because our sales experience with NYE was great, but overcharging that much for a brake job that wasn’t even needed is just ridiculous and greedy.

Excellent service and people are great. Went in for a 10,000 service and a NYS Inspection. They found one tire had an issue, told me about it and I decided to have it fixed. My inspection was very thorough. I’d recommend Nye to anyone.

I had my 2020 Toyota Camry serviced at Nye Toyota in Oneida on 11/12/24. I was greeted promptly at my scheduled appointment time. My service was explained in detail to me and was kept informed as service progressed. I waited in their comfortable waiting area,and service was completed in a very reasonable time. I was completely satisfied with the service I received and my Camrys performance after service.
