Pep Boys Auto Service & Tires

This shop has some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. Knowing I'm driving 16 hours next week, they squeezed my car in to get the brakes worked on even though they had no available appointments. These folks go above and beyond, today Rob was incredibly helpful, gave me additional coupon savings that I didn't ask for, and even my military discount on top. Great service, work, and customer care 👍

I want to give a huge thank you to the technicians at Pep Boys: William, Rob, Jamarley, Shawn for their outstanding service. I originally came in for an oil change, State inspection, and a snow tire swap, but they took the time to thoroughly check my car and let me know that my brake pads, rotors, and the tread on my old tires were worn. They were honest, clear, and incredibly efficient. Even with the additional work, they were able to take care of everything the same day and in a timely manner. My car is running perfectly now, and I really appreciate their professionalism and attention to detail. Highly recommend this team!

Pep Boys in New Hartford can Suck it. Wife dropped off the car and went shopping. She came back 2 hours later and they didn't do a thing. (This might be my wife's fault because she never answers her phone) Reason 1. Didn't know which tire to replace. We told them Driver side Rear... Let alone it's showing cord. (I know I need an alignment) Only Tesla can do an alignment because of the battery. Reason 2. They said per store policy all 4 tires have to be same size. Which her rear tires are larger per the door jam sticker. Their policy found online "It's important to use the manufacturer recommended tire size for your Tesla Model X which you can find in your owner’s manual or the driver’s side door sticker. An incorrect tire size can affect handling, fuel efficiency, and performance. Consult a tire expert at Pep Boys for compatibility if you''re considering an alternative size. I'm not even a true mechanic and the first thing I do for tires is to look at that door jam sticker. Thanks for reminding me why we don't go here.

I went to Pep Boys for both axle tire & 1 axle brake replacement, wiper blades an oil change, tpms sensors & filter changes. I was a very happy customer when I left Friday night and was horribly disappointed to find both of my driver's side tires on the ground due to faulty valve stem installation they made me call a tow truck that was affiliated with Pep Boys that never showed up on Saturday. So then I had to call them again on Sunday to figure out why their tow truck company affiliate didn't get my car yet. Once it did get picked up they did fix the problem relatively quickly but when I called back to find out how they were going to make things right other than fixing thier own mistake and I recieved nothing but corporate condescension and excuses. An oil change voucher doesn't give me back 3 days of my time and energy and stress dealing with an issue I didn't cause. I'm distressed because I was initially super pleased until I was brushed off by management when I wanted money back on a service that they screwed up in the first place. But once they have your money they don't care about you if something goes wrong they've made that very apparent. *** only 5 days on the tires and one has gone flat yet again. Only more corporate condescension on the phone with no intention of resolution in a meaningful way. go anywhere else. Learning how to install tires myself would have been less of a hassle.

I highly recommend Pep Boys!!! My sister Tiffany recently visited the other day and told me to come, and they did not disappoint! They are always so fast and do a fantastic job! They even gave me a discount and some cool little freebies!
