I needed a new tire to replace a blow out on a Saturday afternoon. I was stranded in Endicott and needed help right away. I called the BJ Tire Center in Johnson City. Lynn answered immediately and scheduled a time for Sunday to evaluate my tire. On Sunday Alan concluded that I needed a new tire. We tried to reach the BJ in Ithaca several times but nobody answered the phone. I decided to order a new tire and have it installed in Jonson City. Since my tires were new and I took the Road Hazard, I received a substantial rebate on the new tire. The estimated time of arrival for the new tire was Wednesday, but it came in on Monday and was installed on Tuesday. The service at BJ Johnson City was courteous, efficient and done in time. I appreciated working with Alan, he was friendly and a pleasure to work with. I would go back to this BJ Tire Center any time when I need to service my car in the future.

While I will say the service manager or I at least think it is him was nice enough to do another after the first alignment free of charge when I came in with my initial complaint about the car pulling all over the place. After spending money on yet another alignment at another garage and then finally taking it to the dealership to find out what is wrong. The technician at BJs heated everything up so much to get it to move he melted the boot on my front right ball joint and destroyed my inner and outer tie rod ends causing massive loss of control when turning left. This is straight from the dealership after explaining everything the other day for a 200 dollar diagnosis. Buy the tires go somewhere else for all the work. I have receipts for all of this plus purchase history on our BJs account and, the other tech in front of me saying after they "fixed it" "I definitely wasn't here when that got done"
View on GoogleFrustrating experience that has me contemplating my membership. I ordered a set of tires online about two weeks ago. During the process, you set up your appointment, which mine was set for yesterday at 11 am. When I got there, they were wrapping up the previous customer. The worker told me it should be approx 1.5 hours. I did some shopping and headed back in at 1.25 hours. At that point, he was, you have the cross climates? Then he said that he couldn't find them. Now, I know they were delivered the previous week. Why don't you have the tires out for the appointments for the day? Let's just say it took close to another 2 hours. My car was the only car there. The worker also put the tire on the wrong way. Some tires are directional based on the grooves for optimum performance. There is an arrow right on the tires. It took 3 hours to install 4 tires on my car. I felt bad for the next appointment because he didn't start them until an hour after their appointment. I don't blame the worker. They left him in there alone and obviously did not train him properly. I was hoping the bugs would be worked out after being open for 6 months, I guess not....
View on GoogleI ordered my tires on the BJ’s website. They ship to the store in about 2-3 days. It had me setup an appointment for tire installation which is $20 a tire. I compared with a lot of local spots, they’re the most budget friendly for total cost. Also very easy going mechanics and very fast. Took like 35 mins to swap 4 tires
