TLDR: Misdiagnosed check engine light issue first time I brought the car in and charged $1000 for the most expensive repair. Check engine light comes back on after 1 day. Brought the car back and he claims he changes a different part. Check engine light comes back on after two weeks. Contact David about issue and he refuses to resolve it. Bring the car to another mechanic and he says I need to change the part which David claims he already changed (he clearly didn’t, look at the picture and you can tell this is an old part). At the end of the day I spent $1000 just to have my time wasted, be ignored, and issue not even resolved. SCAM I never want to leave a bad review for a small business but I am so disappointed in my experience with Elite Automotive Care. I was fooled by the great reviews on Google and Yelp and want to warn others about this shop. I brought my car in to have my check engine light diagnosed. About an hour after dropping off I received a call from David stating that he ruled out all possible issues and that it was a problem with the high pressure fuel pump (the most expensive solution). He quoted me nearly $1000. Due to the high price and the fact that he diagnosed the issue so quickly, I wanted to make sure he was replacing the correct part. I asked him multiple times about a few other potential issues and he said that it wasn’t any of those and that the fuel pump would resolve it. I allowed him to proceed with the repair as he sounded confident that he was going to resolve the issue. I picked up the car the next morning and drove it home. The next time I got into the car and started it back up, the check engine light was already back. Not even half a day after leaving the shop I was back at square one and this time $1000 out. I let David know about the issue and he told me to bring the car back to the shop. He then claims he changed the purge valve. I took the car back and went on vacation for 2 weeks. When I got back home the check engine light came back on for the same code. I brought it to a different mechanic because I was tired of David playing the guessing game. The new mechanic say that the purge valve needs to be changed. I was confused because David said that he changed that part already. As you can see from the picture, the part is clearly old and scratched up. So either Elite Automotive Repair never changed the part, or gave me an old faulty part. I reached out to David and asked him if he ever even changed the purge valve and he says he did which he clearly didn’t or used an old faulty part. I asked for a $200-300 refund so I can have the car repaired elsewhere and he declined (this is more than fair, I was willing to let him keep $7-800 for something he didn’t fix)So at the end, I spent $1000 at Elite Automotive Repair just to have my problem misdiagnosed multiple times and not even be fixed at the end. Do not go here if you want a reliable mechanic who you can trust to fix your car with honesty and integrity.

After years of being ripped off by dealerships, I only trust David at Elite Automotive when it comes to my car. His honesty, skill, and genuine care for his customers are unmatched. He’s done everything for me—oil changes, brakes, tires, inspections, full diagnostics, and even major part replacements—and he’s always been upfront and reliable. Elite is the only place I recommend to friends and family. Top-notch service every time.

I can’t recommend Elite enough! They’ve gone above and beyond for me and my family. One rainy day, my car battery died while I had all four of my kids with me. Dave came within minutes, jump-started the car, and even replaced the battery right away. When someone hitnour car, Dave took care of the repairs and Diana handled everything with the insurance company—including setting us up with a rental. What could’ve been a nightmare was made easy thanks to their outstanding service. Truly grateful for their care and professionalism!

I have been slowly coming to Elite for minor tasks, such as oil change, inspections. Took the opportunity to bring both cars for 2nd opinion’s, since some of the dealerships like to add on unneeded services. Really appreciate the honest answers and the time that they take to explain what’s needed and what’s not needed . Since then, i feel 100% comfortable dropping off my car for any issues that arise. I have a family of 4ppl and I trust David, Diane and the team to make sure our cars are safe! Value and trust are hard to come by. Just recently got inspection, tire repair and new bearings on my front wheel! Honest and reliable! Thank you!

David and his staff are incredibly professional, honest and reliable. In a world where every business is becoming a big box chain, we are so lucky to have a family-owned, honest business in our town run by a talented mechanic (David) and his excellent staff.
