Small town feel with big-time results. Our 2020 10 speed premium suburban blew its transmission on Christmas Day. We knew this day would come as it’s been rode hard and put up wet for 190 k miles. Despite the holidays, I was able to get ABC Transmissions on the line and from the first conversation with Debbie and Al, I could feel their concern and great customer service. We chose to leave our truck with them for repairs and returned to Northern Virginia. Due to their popularity and precision, our truck was put in line behind several other vehicles to receive a new transmission. After weeks of searching for a 10 speed replacement transmission, apparently a unicorn, they received a rebuild which they installed and tested repeatedly but Jack was not satisfied with the results. Come to find out this rebuild had a faulty valve body. Jack, Frank and Al worked there Customer magic with the manufacturer and were sent another remanufactured transmission that eventually resolved the issue at no extra cost to us as the consumer. We are grateful that our suburban chose to break down in Glens Falls, New York because it led us to ABC Transmissions. If you’re looking for honest, reliable quality workmanship ABC is where you need to take your truck. Expect full service solutions with great communication but don’t be in a rush because this isn’t fast food, this is sit down diner eat until your 100% satisfied , know everybody’s names, home made cooking kind of service and we feel blessed to have found some southern charm in Upstate New York at ABC transmissions. Friendly, easy to get ahold of and talk to and good at explaining their work to any layperson. I like that they inspect multiple areas while working on the car with no extra cost and don’t pressure you to get anything extra done. I never leave feeling skeptical of being overcharged. Glad to have found them, it’s like a needle in a haystack to find auto shops like this around here.

Priced reasonable for transmission work. They only fixed what was needed. Car runs great. Frank was easy to work with, took my car early. Cody's a solid mechanic, asked all the right questions. These guys are a good alternative to a dealership service.
