Cummins Sales and Service

In my city the rv dealers dont repair generators. So i initially went to cummins here in syracuse for warranty repair and they do good work. However I foolishly returned for an oil change on a small onan generator in my small class b rv. Was 388 dollars for one quart of oil. That is outrageous. I went back as my geny had issues and asked to be sure there was enough oil. They billed 400 dollars to check the generator and told me problem was the microwave wiring. Outrageous. I read the manual and said never run microwave and ac together. That was the problem I stopped them from doing more “research”, removing the microwave to check wiring. Would have billed me a massive amount. There was never an issue with the generator. They do quality work on needed repairs but do overcharge. I was disappointed as they are very nice and friendly, will go to my local rv dealer next time for an oil change and if needed a diagnosis of any generator issues first.

I arrived at Cummins Syracuse with a check engine light on my RV's dashboard. Cummins in Florida and South Carolina had previously attempted to fix it. Cummins Syracuse opened the garage door and got my bus inside and started their diagnostic work. The check engine indicated low DEF pressure. After multiple equipment changes and test drives, frustration started to set in. On the morning of day 3, they removed the DEF tank and found the remains of Mickey Mouse in the bottom. After they stopped laughing, they cleaned the tank, reinstalled everything, and I was back on the road. Traveling RV's are a high priority, and they had no issues keeping it inside away from the unusual freezing temps. Very thankful for that. The service manager kept us advised of the progress on the rig every hour or so. Great service and great job by everyone involved.

Had an issue with a check engine light that came on with our class A RV. We were in the Syracuse area in our travels from Alberta, Canada. Called Cummins in the morning and spoke to Logan who was able to get us an appointment later that morning. When we arrived we met Linda who took over receipt of our unit and recommended a great place to eat lunch until they could identify the problem. Linda called a little later and gave us an estimate of the cost to fix and said she would call us when it was ready. A few hours later Linda called back and gave us the great news that they were able to find the parts needed and our unit was ready to go and the price was way less than first thought. Absolutely great service on short notice. Was a pleasure to deal with Logan and Linda all the way through as well as the mechanic who did the work. Great people, went out of their way to take care of us and get us back on the road the same day. Thanks to all.

This was one of the best service experiences I ever had! These folks were friendly, professional and efficient. Rachael, the receptionist, was welcoming and made me feel at home. Tony was awesome ... kind, professional and competent. Josh, the technician was helpful and professional! Dan, the parts guy, was quick to offer helpful tips. Mark, one of the techs, was friendly and offered conversation while i waited in the break room. Great company... worth going out of your way to have service done here!

Awesome service! Broke down in our RV and had it towed to Cummins Sales and Service. They had electricity for us and we were able to spend the nite there. We didn't arrive until almost 5pm, Alex met us, got us hooked up, checked the engine for the problem and got parts ordered for delivery in the am, all before he went home. They had us back on the road the next day. What a great crew! All very helpful and friendly. And at a great price. Wish they were in our hometown.
