So, I generally speaking, try to avoid taking my vehicle to dealerships for repair. However, lately, they have been the cheapest for oil changes, by a pretty significant margin. This is the only reason they get two stars instead of one. On my last oil change, I was advised that I would need front brake pads at $140. Not terrible for a price. I didn't get it done at the time as I was on my way out of town. So, I made an appointment. Come in to get the pads replaced, and they're saying, okay pads and rotors, $640. Well, that isn't what I was told, nor quoted for what was needed. Then, I'm given the "we would never quote without rotors" line. Well, you did, literally the person I was talking to on both occasions. Don't give me this bait and switch BS. Whether or not I need the pads and rotors is irrelevant. The moment you try to bait and switch me, I'm never going to deal with you again.

We had an excellent service visit at Garber Chevy in Canandaigua. Glenn was also helpful providing guidance on my classic square body truck.

I have not had any interaction with Garber, for I bought my car when it was still Randell Farnsworth. What I can tell you is that Rick Caes is the Man! For decades my family has purchased vehicle's from Rick. I am on my 2nd vehicle though Rick and I can't be happier. Rick will help you find the right vehicle (new or pre-owned) Rick will make the transition easy as possible for you wether your schedule is open or crazy busy. You can count on Rick! I just want to show my big appreciation and also say thank you for everything to Glen at the service desk and to all the service people who worked on my truck. He was very nice , friendly and understanding. He was great at setting up all my appointments and also setting me up with a lender car while mine was being repaired. He was also a great communicator informing me as to what needed to be done and the cost of the repair. I also love how they kept my truck nice and clean and also how they cleaned my motor for me. I am a very satisfied customer and will definitely be coming back.
