Honda Service and Parts Center

I had a great experience at Southgate Honda Service Center. The service was efficient from start to finish. Mike was extremely helpful and kept me updated throughout the process, which I really appreciated. The repair took a couple of days, but my car now drives like new and was well worth the wait. They also provided me with a loaner vehicle since I needed to get to work, which made things so much easier. Overall, the customer service and communication were excellent. I would definitely recommend them!

I have had my Honda Accord 2010 serviced here for oil changes and I just had some extra work done to It! Paul, the mechanic is awesome and does very good work. I trust my car with him! Sal and Mike are great to work with! Very good team!

BEWARE!! Southgate Honda are crooks. I coasted into Southgate Honda because my CRV dash was all lit up and it wouldn’t accelerate fast. I left it there for diagnostic testing. They called me the next day saying they had bad news. They told me my head gasket is bad and the car is junk. I was completely devastated as it was only 7 years old and worth about 15k but now only worth about $2-$2,500. They told me they would give me $2,500 for it and tried to sell me a brand new car even though I told them I’m in bankruptcy and can’t finance ANYTHING. My husband came up to the shop. Took my car. Him being a backyard mechanic for 50 years, knew something wasn’t right. He checked the spark plugs and all 4 were bad. After he replaced the spark plugs, car ran perfect. He said, no one even removed these sparks plugs to even test the head gasket. He can te if someone had or not. So I took my car to the very reputable Downriver Spring. They ran every test imaginable and my head gaskets are not leaking. I’m furious they tried to pull one over on me. I googled what happened and there happens to be a thing called head gasket scam where the dealership will come up with a very false and catastrophic diagnosis to get you to sell your car to them for very cheap and try to sell you a new car. Well Southgate Honda. The gigs up. I will be filing reports to the State Attorney General, FTC, BBB and whoever else I need to contact to shut you down!!!!!

Brought my car in for the seatbelt and fuel pump recall that were out on it. After the service, my car wouldn’t start out of 2 different parking lots, so I bought a new battery because it seemed like that was the problem. Once it finally ran it stalled out in the middle of Dix so I had to call a tow truck to bring it back to the dealership. Turns out the recall was done incorrectly and needed to be redone. They also didn’t take a picture of the seatbelt for the warranty. I have been back to have this photo taken 4 separate times, because the recall is costing the dealership serious money without that photo. I have lost 2 and a half days of work to these recalls and my fiance has lost a day and a half, including the tow and the battery, we are out a lot money for what should’ve been free and easy. This has been a giant, expensive headache and they are doing very little to make it right. Bad service, bad time.

Sal is and has always been the greatest service manager I have ever had the pleasure of contracting. Yes honda will charge more because they use OEM parts and the labor is like 175 hourly, however they do warranty all their work so it's like insurance on your repairs, I hate spending big money, Sal will work with me and help all he can to get to a fair price, I won't go anywhere else bc of him.
