Southfield Muffler and Brake

Had my vehicle towed here on yesterday. My dash board read that my engine was overheating and that I should stop engine. I called yesterday and explained the situation. As I imagined they had quite a number of cars ahead of me waiting for repairs. I was advised if I could get it towed there by midday they could likely get my vehicle back to me by Wednesday; which was a concern for me being that Xmas is on Thursday. At any rate, Ryan telephoned me Monday evening after providing a diagnosis and after I approved the repairs he stated if he could get the parts Tuesday he could finish the repairs, but if not, it could likely be ready no later than Wednesday. Thankfully my car was repaired on Tuesday and for less than what he estimated. I have been bringing my vehicles to this business for well over 15 years, when it was Ernie Fischers. They were recommended years ago by a co-worker. Ryan took over the business from the previous owner. My personal experience with this establishment is that they are honest and do a great job in repairing your vehicles. I currently have a 2014 Terrain Denali which I purchased new and have taken good care of. Any car that I have had over the years I have brought to them to do any repairs outside of the manufacturers warranty, including vehicles I had for my children. Unlike the dealership; which i feel is always overpriced, I’ve never felt taken advantage of here, thats why i continue to return. Ryan personally telephones you to explain what is wrong with your vehicle, thoroughly explains the necessary repairs and patiently answers any questions. Although the name is Southfield Muffler and Brake they are able to repair mostly anything with your vehicle. I have referred friends and family here and highly recommend them.

Not very knowledgeable about cars. Ryan was trustworthy and kind. He was honest about what work needed to be done ASAP vs work that could wait a bit longer. I appreciated this because it shows he understands not everyone can drop thousands at a time on car repairs, rather sometimes need to be spread out. Ryan explained to me what was wrong with my car and the purpose of the part needing repair. Overall pleased with my experience and will be back.

Outstanding service. I had a hose pop off and was very low on oil only about a week and a half after getting an oil change from another establishment. I made more problems by not checking the capacity and accidentally overfilling the oil. Heard great things about this place and now I know why. Ryan stayed in touch and gave me updates as he worked on my car. Less than 24 hours after drop-off, my hose was back where it needed to be and my oil was stable. The person at the front desk was great too. She was courteous and even took the time to make sure I knew where I wanted my oil level. Any time there is a problem with my vehicle, I will bring it here.

We have taken our vehicles here a few times now and are very happy with the service and pricing. Ryan is great at breaking down what needs to be done and what can possibly wait. He is also upfront about possible wait times if parts have to be ordered.

Very efficient and helpful staff. Their system is very efficient. Drop the vehicle off, the mechanic assesses the needed repair, then calls with the details. This is the 3rd time I've used their service. Repair work was completed in a timely manner and at a fair price. I strongly recommend this small business. Let's support the small business person.
