I usually will not leave negative reviews unless absolutely necessary. I will start with saying my son’s 2011 Dodge Journey was towed in for a no start issue. I payed almost $700 for a complete tune up, plugs, coils, air filter and supposedly throttle body cleaning. I was called stating the vehicle still had a bad misfire, so they changed an injector as well. I went to pick it up after calling saying it was good to go. I barely made it to 8 mile and Grandriver before going right back to the shop, because it was running that bad. The next day I was told that the rear catalytic converter was bad, had temps 400 degrees warmer than front converter. Changed converter the next day for $700 still has a misfire and they broke my exhaust pipe didn’t tell me and sealed it with JB Weld. Now we’re playing the parts changing game took it upon himself to change my computer that didn’t fix the problem either so I went to pick up my sons car put it in my garage until I could check it out. After looking over a lot of things that wasn’t put back together correctly I got more and more pissed. Upper intake support brackets, all missing nuts, air cleaner snorkel to throttle body lose, # 2&4 ignition coils lose , looks to be longer bolts installed, cut one wire and repaired it with electrical tape, oxygen sensor wire up front pinched behind the intake support bracket that was left lose, after taking apart upper intake found two lose bolts which all could cause rough idle and misfires as well m. Long story short, I pulled the crank sensor out and found it saturated with fresh motor oil, changed the crankshaft position sensor and the 52,000 mile engine is running like new again. The cause of oil leaking onto the sensor came from the oil cooler that I replaced yesterday. So $34 for the crank sensor and $250 the the oil cooler fixed the and I’m not an ASE certified mechanic but I’ve done all of my vehicle maintenance for years but figure I’d pay someone this time due to the extreme cold weather. Never again will I trust hacks to work on a vehicle that I own. When I picked it up from the shop they recommended an air and water test insinuating that there was possibly a head or cam issue on a well maintained vehicle with low miles. Again, I wouldn’t have wrote this review if they at least would’ve put my vehicle back together the way they took it apart. This is no way to treat someone’s personal vehicle. It smelled like cigarette smoke and everything they did under the hood showed poor workmanship!

The best mechanic in the city. I m a girl and have no knowledge about cars, so I went to this place with an issue of oil leaking. He checked and fixed it within 30 minutes for $50 only. Fair and explained things for me very kindly. Again I went thinking again I m having the same issue, but he explained and told me there is no issue in my car. He checked everything including air filters, oil and everything and explained to me I have nothing to fix. No scams, no lies he didn’t charge me nothing for the inspection. Very honest and kind professional. I recommend for ppl like me that they can trust this place. He charge you only for what you have genuinely fix only.
View on GoogleNormally I do not leave negative reviews unless it is absolutely necessary. Unfortunately, this experience warrants one. My son’s 2011 Dodge Journey was towed in for a no-start/misfire issue. I was charged nearly $700 for a complete tune-up (spark plugs, ignition coils, air filter, and a supposed throttle body cleaning). I was later informed the vehicle still had a bad misfire, so an injector was replaced as well. I was called and told the vehicle was “good to go.” I barely made it to 8 Mile and Grand River before having to turn around and bring it right back because it was running so poorly. The next day, I was told the rear catalytic converter was bad and running 400°F hotter than the front converter. That converter was replaced for an additional $700, yet the misfire remained. During this repair, the shop broke my exhaust pipe, failed to inform me, and sealed it with JB Weld. At this point, it became a parts-changing exercise. Without authorization, the shop replaced the engine computer, which also did not fix the problem. I finally picked up the vehicle and parked it in my garage to inspect it myself. What I found was unacceptable: • Upper intake support brackets reinstalled with missing nuts • Air cleaner snorkel to throttle body left loose • Ignition coils #2 and #4 loose, with incorrect-length bolts • A wire cut and repaired with electrical tape • Front oxygen sensor wire pinched behind a loose intake bracket • Two loose bolts found on the upper intake Any of these issues could cause rough idle and misfires. After proper inspection, I removed the crankshaft position sensor and found it saturated with motor oil. I replaced the sensor ($34) and repaired the oil cooler leak that caused the crank sensor to malfunction ($250). The engine (only 52,000 miles) now runs like new. I am not an ASE-certified mechanic, but I have maintained my vehicles for years and only brought this one in due to extreme cold weather. The shop even recommended an air and water test, suggesting potential head or cam issues—on a well-maintained, low-mileage engine. I would not be writing this review if the vehicle had at least been reassembled correctly. It was returned smelling of cigarette smoke, and the under-hood workmanship showed a complete lack of care and professionalism. This is no way to treat someone’s personal vehicle.
