Alright. So I’d like to make this short but unfortunately I don’t think it’s possible. So I bought a problematic 2013 Ford Raptor 6.2 with a supercharger on it and had alot of problems with it, I dropped it off with Alex to get it fixed up as it had some really strange throttle problems. I had them tune it, and when I got it back, it was better but not exactly what I needed out of it, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND on the truck and took it back it, got it dialed in nicely, hell they even detailed it for me as a surprise. As a customer who worked his life to ow his dream truck, they treated it as such, and I couldn’t be any happier with this place. All of his guys were super cool and honest and did what they could to get things done ESPECIALLY the owner Alex. I HIGHLY recommend this place, as it’s hard to find real honest mechanics who aren’t afraid to do the job right. I would disregard any review less than five stars from this place and support them as they have done me well.

Scott at the front desk is patient and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Alex and his crew are top notch communicated every step of the way with me and dealt with all my crazy questions. My issues with my vehicle were pinpointed quickly and fixed as fast as they got the parts! Thanks guys!

Brought my car in for an exhaust manifold replacement, everyone knows this is a terrible job to do so I figured i’ll take this one to a shop I don’t feel like messing with it this time. This shop was running a special on labor prices at the time, but somehow wasn’t applied to the broken stud extraction fee (7x). Maybe this was policy but it wasn’t mentioned, that’s okay though I let it go. Picked up my car after one side was replaced because one side turned into over a thousand dollars due to broken studs, I couldn’t afford to do both at once. I start my car in the parking lot and it throws a check engine light immediately and is running very rough, this is well after the shop is closed and it was my only ride home so I figured i’d see if it’d clear up at all, the car did make it home but I drove it when it probably shouldn’t have even been ran, it was 20° so I did what I had to do to get it home a few more miles. I called the shop in the morning and they insisted this has absolutely nothing to do with the work the performed so i’m on the hook for the towing bill for them to check this out. They look at the car and call me and say the catalytic converters are clogged right up and the car cannot breathe properly, causing the rough running and CEL. They let me order my own cats and they installed them, which I appreciated the little break on that cost. Picked up the car again (after-hours again) and it’s running rough again with a check engine light right away on startup like it wasn’t even cleared (or scanned?). I drove it home, as it was running better than before, and once again it was late after hours and I had to get the car home. I scanned it myself this time to reveal an EGR code. The EGR was replaced when the manifold was replaced, this was simply a defective part out of the box, and that happens often and it’s understandable. What’s not understandable is the incompetence of this shop, the audacity to charge me another thousand dollars to install the cats that maybe my car didn’t even need immediately, because no one can be bothered to scan a check engine light to see the EGR is defective? There was also a note one of the times that a tech left for me to review, which said something along the lines of “lower engine noise, recommend engine replacement”. That is a wild statement to make, while being very untrue and odd to even say because the engine has no noise from the bottom end, I don’t understand how you can just write that on there nonchalant and not call me that my car may need a new engine? This service was done at the end of 2025, and I let it all go, but with the recent light shined on this business I figured it’s a good time to share my experience.

Alex’s Automotive is hands down the best auto shop I’ve ever used. Alex and his team are always extremely helpful, honest, and genuinely care about doing the job right. Their pricing is fair, the work is top-notch, and they explain everything clearly so you actually understand what’s going on with your vehicle. The repair quality is next level. Everything they’ve fixed on my cars has held up perfectly and runs better than before. I’ve been taking all my vehicles to them for a while now and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. They’re reliable, professional, and just good people. I seriously hope this place stays around for the next 50 years because I’ll definitely be going to them for everything I need. If you’re anywhere near Chesterfield and you want trustworthy car repairs, do yourself a favor and go see Alex. You won’t be disappointed. Five big stars!

I had an outstanding experience at Alex’s! I brought my dad’s car in and was blown away by the same-day service. Scott, who I spoke with, was incredibly professional, and Cody, the technician, was so knowledgeable. He fixed the lower control arm and the wheel bearing, and I also got new tires—all in one visit. The whole process was seamless and stress-free. I highly recommend Alex’s for any car repairs—top-notch service!
