Ed Rinke Chevrolet Buick GMC Service

Brought my truck in on 2/2 for an issue with the DEF system, got my truck back 3/28. Worked for about 6 weeks and then the light came back on. After about a week of calling and never once speaking to a person (the have a roboservice now), leaving voicemails that weren’t returned, and texting with no response, I called another GMC dealer to get it in. That dealer found the issue but said I had to bring it back to Ed Rinke since it was their fault. They found a broken clip zip-tied onto a leaking DEF line, and the broken piece still inside the line. They took pictures for me and gave me the broken clip. They said that you can’t order just the clip you need to buy the whole line so instead of doing that they used a zip tie on my $70k truck. Would’ve expected better from an authorized GM service center.

Service Department will lie to your face! Recently bought a new truck from Ed Rinke. Truck had minor cosmetic issues (part fitment, window seal) at time of sale that was agreed to get repaired. Super easy stuff to address. Took my truck in on a Monday; by Thursday they had not even looked at it. Communicating with Service was incredibly difficult and akin to pulling teeth. Erin dodged my calls and refused to follow up with me with any sort of update on my truck. Finally called me on Wednesday and said they pulled my truck in, and work would start on it Thursday morning. On Thursday afternoon, they told me the truck was still waiting in the queue with no ETA on when it would be done. I guess the days of customer service are over because they told me a blatant lie... Save yourself to stress and frustration. Go somewhere else! Why are they storing customer's vehicles in a lot and having them wait around for a week. An appointment system is supposed to work so that someone is available to look at and repair your vehicle at the time of appointment. Terrible system for a large service department.

I am so disappointed in the service center for Ed Rinke They leased us up 2025 traverse. Our payment mind you $771 and they can’t service it when it doesn’t start. It’s a year old. They’re so busy they have no Rent-A-Car and they can’t even look at it for a week I would not refer this place to nobody new car. Sales is OK here but I’ll never ever go in this place for service again and their service people are ridiculous. You can’t even talk to the manager and service. They don’t have any vehicles they don’t even have time to work on your car that is a lease and covered. What are you supposed to do? My son’s car would not start and they didn’t even tell me about GM covering towing but Hamilton Chevrolet did so that’s where we’ll be going from now on. You can stick it at Ed Rinke . I’ll never come back to you. And if you’re too busy to work on the cars that you lease people, maybe you should hire some more people how’s that? I have a very bad taste of my mouth. I think I’m done leasing and buying cars from you. Goodbye Ed Rinkey !!!

Nobody wants to have to go to collision, however if you do, I highly recommend Ed Rinke! The staff was more than accommodating and made the experience amazing! The entire staff is so nice and made an unpleasant experience (crash) so much better! Because of our experiences with Ed Rinke, we are changing our normal dealership we have been going to for 10+ years to now a place where we will start purchasing our vehicles from! Thank you to all the staff for fixing up my car and being amazing human beings!

Shawn was great to work with. He was professional and took care of every detail with my car. He made sure I had a ride home and a ride back to get my car. The car looks great!!!!!!!!!
