Unfortunately this review is a Needs Improvement one, opposed to other reviews I normally do that are quite positive. I had a pretty basic service done w my RR Sport, oil change and tire rotation. The representative Brendan was pleasant to deal with initially, no issue there, but when my car was delivered, it came back with 3 of my 4 wheels missing lug nuts/wheel locks, and one of the tires missing a rim center piece. After several follow up VMs and text messages to the service dept, the Director of Service did send me a new set of wheel locks and center piece but when I pressed several times on how these would be installed, I got crickets, no response. It has been nearly a month since I got my car back, I never even received the courtesy of a phone call re: this issue. I have since brought my vehicle to a local mechanic to install the wheel locks and ensure safety on all wheels. Not only was this sloppy work by the service dept, but I was very concerned about the safety of the vehicle. How can a service dept deliver a car back to me like this with a near $1900 invoice charge for services and never follow up? See pic on one of the wheels - maybe this review will illicit a response? I think there is room for Improvement!

I brought my 2021 Defender 110 to Herb Chambers Jaguar Land Rover Boston for standard annual service and was presented with pricing that was dramatically higher than reasonable dealer OEM norms. Spark plug replacement alone was over $1,400, drivetrain fluid services (front differential, rear differential, and transfer case) were each close to $500, and front and rear brake jobs — performed while the inspection showed pads at 5mm and noted as “will need soon,” not urgent — totaled nearly $4,000. Even after a 10% discount, the final invoice exceeded $8,500, which is not defensible for the work performed. There was also shifting information during the visit regarding camera issues. I was initially told the rear camera was not functioning (it was working when I arrived), and this was later revised to a front camera/APIX cable issue identified during service, which I declined. While the staff was polite, the pricing structure and upsell approach raise serious concerns. I strongly recommend that prospective customers request detailed labor hours, question urgency claims, and compare pricing with other Land Rover dealers or trusted independent shops before approving work.
