Great Lakes Honda of Fishers Parts & Service

My wife and I live just outside of Knoxville, TN but we buy a lot of vehicles in the St Louis/Indianapolis area. We had contacted a dealer in the area looking for a '26 Passport, but had gotten a little bit of a runaround. After a quick Internet search, we found Great Lakes Honda and are glad we did. They had exactly the vehicle we wanted, were very transparent about their pricing and extremely fair with their trade allowance. The deal was so good, we drove 400 miles to buy from them. Once we arrived, we were treated like old friends. From Bart, the GM, to Brenda, Zach, Mike and Rachid, everyone seemed genuinely happy to meet us and help us get our car. We buy a lot of Honda's and refer a lot of people to Honda and you can be sure we'll tell our friends it's worth the drive and time to shop Great Lakes Honda.

Good experience and care for a check engine light and Honda factory recall on my daughter's Honda Fit. Drove car right into the service area at my scheduled appointment time. Service specialist Jim came over to help me and immediately coordinated both issues. That took care of the recall inspection first and then worked on the check engine light issue. They bumped into a problem which they alerted me to before they took more drastic action. I approved and they continued. Left the car overnight for the rest of the repairs and the car was good as new the next day. Both the issues were fully addressed. Recall completely covered by Honda and Great Lakes took care of the paperwork on it. The waiting area is very nice and split into 2 main sections. The larger section has 2 high tables and comfortable single seat lounge chairs. The other section is smaller and quieter with other lounge chairs and a big table top with stools with free USB charging ports. The free popcorn was delicious and they offered free water and coffee. A vending machine was also available that had very clean bathrooms. The only issue I had was with the pricing. Final bill wasn't what we reviewed but I think that might have been a clerical error. Jim took care of it and made it right for me which I appreciated. Very happy with the service I received and the level of communication all the way through was very good. Part of that communication included a text-based system to check updates as well. Very handy as we able to leave for lunch and still be updated on status. Definitely recommend for service, just make sure to check your invoice and know it's a dealer shop. You'll pay more for genuine Honda parts and service but you leave with peace of mind and a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty too.

I came here for the first time to get routine maintenance. My car also had an open recall, which Penske told me it would take a year to schedule the fix for. Great Lakes went ahead and took care of it for me during my routine maintenance no problem. I'm used to being over-sold on unnecessary maintenance, but my experience with Travis at Great Lakes was the opposite. He helped me save money by avoiding some service that was unnecessary given the age and mileage of my vehicle. I will return here next time my car needs work.

This was my first time visiting Honda of Fishers. I had a transmission error come up in the dash of my brand new 2025 Honda Pilot Black Edition. The service department wasn’t in the slightest trained in customer service. Upon dropping off my car they said they had no idea it would take to run a diagnostic. After three hours with no update I gave them a call to end up leaving a voicemail. Two hours later my service tech Ryan called and simply stated it needed a new gear selection switch. He was short to answer any questions or really seem to care about my needs. I left my car overnight which the next morning my call from Ryan was just as unpleasant. I won’t be returning to this location for any of my future Honda needs.

My displeasure with Honda of Fishers is they didn't honor my $500 hold on new CRV to be bought on March 31. Management decided they were selling my car around noon. I had cash and they couldn't wait for me to come in. I'd like to give praise to Jeff Wyler Honda of Cincinnati. They were willing to sell me a CRV WITH VERBAL AGRERMENT ON PHONE TO HOLD THE VEHICLE UNTIL I GOT THERE (7:15 PM). THE PURCHASE WENT THROUGH WITH NO PROBLEM. Salesman, Jayson Lopez, was very helpful along with everyone else. The price was even less. Thank you Jeff Wyler Honda.
