Get Down Performance

I was looking for an independent Subaru shop to do a timing belt, spark plugs, belts, and fluids. They got back to me very quickly via email and provided a fair quote and recommendations based on my car use. I recommend them for those who want to avoid dealerships and chains.

I live in Illinois, but was in the Indy area for an event and decided to have the guys at Get Down Performance inspect a suspension noise I was concerned about. After their thorough inspection, they determined I just needed an alignment. They explained the maintenance items I should prioritize and gave me some valuable information about my vehicle and Subarus, in general. If I'm ever back in the area and it lines up with my maintenance intervals, I would take my Crosstrek here to know it's in good hands

Get Down Performance really helped me out of a tight spot. While I have a trusted mechanic for routine maintenance, Subaru owners know that some repairs are unique to the brand, and not every shop is comfortable diving into them. After my AT light came on, my local shop diagnosed a CVT valve body replacement but wasn't equipped to perform the job. I spent days calling shops around Johnson County, but between a lack of availability and general hesitation from mechanics, I was almost resigned to paying "stealership" prices just to get it done right. Thankfully, I found GDP through the Indiana Subaru Facebook group. Their communication was incredible—I received a reply within about an hour of my initial email. They were confident they could handle the repair and meet my tight timeline. I had the car towed from Whiteland to Avon on Sunday, and by Wednesday, I was back on the road. Honestly, the car drives better now than it ever has. While I’ll keep my local shop for the basics, GDP is now my first call for any Subie-specific needs. 5 stars only because 6 isn't an option!

I couldn't be more pleased with the service and communication from these guy's!!! 2023 Subaru Crosstrek with 94K miles here and have only ever changed the oil - CVT service is what I was searching for and it found to be rather difficult, many mechanics and places are resistant with Subarus I've found. Was worried about how I would get this done and find someone who's not a rip off dealership to service. SO BLESSED I found Get Down Preformance!! They had nothing but 5 star reviews and now I see why - the quickest response time ever with an appointment just a couple days after the inquiry! The job to them was slight work in comparison to their usual services, quick turnaround and reasonable pricing! Rad professionals at that! I will definitely be back for all my services moving forward and spreading the word of how wonderful they are to do business with - thank you both again for such a great experience overall!!

Where do I even start. Absolutely amazing experience! I initially emailed GDP inquiring about modding my STI. To preface I have never modded a car before. I told them I wanted to make a conservative 350whp. They responded the next business day and we set our appointment for a compression test. After we did the compression test, and all of the numbers checked out, I had them order parts. Everything was so easy and simple with these guys. Super knowledgeable and professional with great communication. They partner with Shinji Tuned and I had them take care of the tuning process and logging, was super easy and car was amazing when I picked it up. Could not have asked for a better first time experience working with a shop. If you need to mod or do maintenance of any kind on your subaru, this is the best place in the Indianapolis area. This is the only place I will be taking my cars to from this point forward! Wish I could leave more stars if possible. Thanks again guys for all of the help, I look forward to working with you again!
