Review written 5/12/2026. Made appointment for rideshare annual Lyft inspection and the technician wasn’t even there when I arrived on time. They did not reset the oil life indicator in vehicle after completing service Very dirty refrigerator and bathroom Also, the customer service technician Brandon talked down to multiple customers on the phone. For example, told somebody that they should have told him about an oil change up front, just because the lady was asking for a 70,000 mileage service check, he was flaunting off giving his opinion about how cars don’t need regular interval checks.

Took my car in for an AC inspection. They identified two issues, one of which was incorrect. They told me I needed a new radiator fan and that my AC compressor was leaking and about to go bad. The estimate for repairs was over $2500 and since my car is 13 years old, I decided to take it to another shop for a second opinion. That shop did a full diagnostic for free. They showed me that my AC compressor was indeed holding pressure and not leaking. The AC system was still full of refrigerant whereas Pep Boys told me it was only 1/3 full. Pep Boys did correctly identify the radiator fan not working properly but who wants to be upsold a $2000 AC compressor repair when it's not needed? In addition, I paid $16 for this inspection. Be cautious if you're going there for anything beyond basic maintenance service.

Had a great experience with getting a battery installed when my battery went bad, very efficient system and all staff was friendly and helpful. The weather was bad and cold but I got an appointment for Sunday am and was out by 11am. Got a good price and used the online coupons for a nice savings too. I will go back to this Skokie shop.

Shout out to Brandon for helping us with our flat tire and Sully who has helped in the past too! Highly recommend.
