Terrible Experience — Avoid This Shop! I had one of the worst experiences ever with this body shop. It took them three months to return my car, and every week there was a new excuse. First, they said it just needed an alignment. Then it was “calibrations.” After that, they claimed they needed to take it to a mechanic to “make sure everything was good.” They never kept me updated on the progress, and I constantly had to reach out myself just to get vague answers. When I finally got my car back, I was told there were still “two pieces missing” and that I’d get a call once they arrived. That call never came. After getting my car back, I noticed multiple issues — my projection light on the driver’s side was wrong, my check engine light came on twice, and after washing my car for the first time, I saw several defects and unfinished spots that were supposed to be covered by insurance. When I tried contacting them again to fix what they missed, the owner completely stopped responding and even blocked my number. This shop has terrible customer service, zero accountability, and does not stand behind their work. Do yourself a favor and take your car somewhere reputable — this place is unprofessional and unreliable. The person in charge was “manager Juan”

My insurance referred me to Crash Champions to repair my bumper and taillight. Overall, the experience was okay, but there is definitely some room for improvement. Right after speaking with my insurance, I received a text from Crash Champions to schedule an appointment, which was helpful. However, even after I scheduled it, I continued getting multiple texts and calls asking me to make an appointment, which created some confusion. When I arrived, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I assumed I’d receive an estimate first, but instead I was told to leave the car and that the repair would take about a week. On the positive side, they coordinated my rental car for me, and the rental company picked me up directly, which was convenient. During the repair process, communication was limited. I received just one update letting me know everything was on track. The repairs were completed on time and the work itself was good, but there was no communication about the deductible. While I had no issue paying it, it would have been helpful and more transparent if this had been discussed in advance. Overall, Crash Champions completed the repairs as promised, but clearer communication throughout the process would make the customer experience much stronger. There’s room for improvement, but the job was ultimately done well.

TLDR; lots of issues with repairs that this location did not stand behind and even with escalation to management did not get any follow up on my issues. I had to take to Crash Champions in Orland Park where they took care of everything in two days. I'm disappointed that I have to write this review because I have always had good experiences with this location for little things. They are presumably under new management now because my experience was completely different this time around. I made an appointment a few weeks in advance so that my car repairs could be started while I was out of town. I had my car towed to CC the night before and got a call the next day asking for information on why my car was there... not the end of the world in itself but it felt like my car wasn't expected and that may have contributed to the delay of getting my car back. The communication I received before repairs was consistent and at least daily which is great. Once I signed to have repairs done, I asked for a written estimate which I never received and communication from that point forward was spotty at best. there were multiple times in the process that I called and was given timelines and promises for calls back and the timelines were delayed without communication to me. I was informed my car should be done on a Friday and did not hear anything so I called back Monday and was informed that my car was ready and waiting for me to pick it up. when i got there, I noticed that the trim piece that was replaced didn't fit right and told the employee at the counter. He said they already knew and ordered a new OEM part to replace it with. Why tell me my car is done if I'm going to have to bring it back to be finished anyway? It would have been nice to know that before I ubered there to pick the car up. I was encouraged to take the car home and look at it there before letting them know if anything needed to be fixed. 2 weeks later I called to check on the part and was told they still did not have it. No info on why it hadn't arrived or a timeline. In that time I also found the following issues: windshield sprayer was connected backwards and would spay the front windshield while back wipers activated and vice versa. the car was pulling so hard to the right that I could change lanes simply by letting go of the steering wheel. The front passenger side tire was rubbing on the aftermarket wheel well liner they installed. I asked to speak with a manager and was told that managers were not in on Saturdays but that the person coordinating my repairs AND a manager would call me Monday. no call Monday so I call Tuesday and speak with the manager. he promised he would look into getting me a complimentary rental car for the issues and promised a call back the next morning from him and the GM. no call back from anyone. i followed up twice and had Progressive follow up as well. No one ever returned our calls. I called Crash Champions in Orland Park and they took care of all the issues within two days. I wouldn't revisit the Plainfield location for so much as putting air in my tires.

Sending a shout out to the team who recently worked on my car repairs. Once again, they did a fantastic job. Car looked like it came off a car lot. Turnaround time was super!! I've worked with them previously and highly recommend them.

Crash champions was the only place available to give me a same day estimate. Amanda was very helpful and informative throughout the entire process. Received texts to keep me updated on the progress of the repair work. Would definitely recommend.
