Car looks great. Update: Dropped by in springtime and spoke to the owner about some 20+ large rock chips that occurred over the winter months on the repaired area. I know rock chips happen, but these were 3X plus the size of normal rock chips and the paint is flaking around them. After looking at my car, owner said he would look into it and call me back, then he ghosted. Now the clear coat is failing on several areas of the repaired hood. After less than 1 year, I'd expect better results from a $99 Maaco paint job.

His team worked on it as I waited, and it looked new in no time—no further repairs needed. Incredibly, John didn't charge me for the work, saving me a lengthy shop visit. This was my second time at Stelton for accident repairs, and their customer service and work are consistently top-notch!

5 summers ago i acquired a vintage volvo, near-perfect condition. 1 month in, a tree fell onto its roof during a powerful storm, smashing it. Stelton was the only local shop that would even agree to take on this massive job, and the price was very fair. I found a another roof from an identical donor volvo and Stelton cut the smashed one off and replaced it with the new one. they did an excellent job, perfectly matched paint, seamless; as if the whole thing never happened. 3 years later, i noticed a tiny bit of rust in small spots on the starboard + port roof edges. this rust could've eventually become significant. I took it to Stelton 4 years later, expecting them to balk, and/or give me a hefty invoice. I was surprised when i walked in and met Jon, who was very friendly. After he viewed my car and its roof, he offered to fix it before i could ask. a few days later my car was returned, the rust surgically removed, all meticulously redone. free of charge, honoring their warranty policy. rust is common and hard to extirpate when dealing with a 37 year old car. the cause/origin in this case was not certain. the roof was not procured by Stelton, I bought it from a junkyard. Stelton could have understandably been reticent to take this job on, free of charge. excellent service and work; great people.

I pushed in a tail light when backing into a parking space. The McGrath Mazda shop said they couldn’t do it and fed me a story about how difficult Mazda made it to repair it. He handed me a card with a number and said to mention him. “This guy figured out a way to do for $250 which is way lower than the $500 most places will charge you.” I went to Stilton instead after being pleased with a previous experience. I payed less than $75 at Stilton. No stories, no lies, no taking advantage of me for my ignorance of car repair. Oh! And they bugged out a scratch too. Stilton from now on.
