I miss Roy and Walter! I was using them when I lived in Oak Park from 2011-2022. They were highly recommended by friends who lived in OP when I moved there. They were always honest, always to the point, and their work was amazing. We all need a good mechanic, and Asian Domestic Authority were them for me. They took care of my general maintenance i.e. tune ups, did my brakes, and the little things that popped up on my 2004 Sentra.
View on GoogleAfter taking my car to the dealership for some recall repair work, they gave me a list of suggested maintenance items my car needed. I was a little suspicious that some of the items mentioned were likely upsale tactics versus my car truly needing the maintenance work. However, at any rate I decided to get the work done but look for a local repair shop to help cut back on the very high cost the dealership would have charged. In my search I came across Asian Domestic Authorities and gave them a call. I spoke with Roy and asked for a quote on the maintenance work I supposedly needed. Roy quoted me a better price than the dealership...so that was great, but then as we continued to talk more about my car's specifics, Roy said I didn't even need the work done! Roy explained to me that based on my car's current mileage it stll has plenty of time left before needing this maintenance job. What?! I couldn't have been more impressed to find an honest mechanic with such integrity! That interaction alone has convinced me to see Roy for all future car servicing needs. I can see why this place has such great reviews! Thanks, Roy!
View on GoogleI have BMW 740i 2019 80000 miles. I took it to the dealership for routine oil change. They pointed 10 different things wrong, when there is no fault notification, and gave me repair estimate of over 14000$. I denied and left. Roy took care of it in most efficient manner for under 500$. Thank you Roy!
View on GoogleI got an oil change at Meineke in Oak Park and they told me my brake pads were at 1mm and needed to be replaced right away, about $1k. I took it to Asian Domestic for new brakes and he told me they are at 6mm with thousands more miles on them and he wouldn’t put new parts on when my existing parts are still good. You can bet I’ll be back when I do need brakes or any other service he offers.
