I purchased a Toro mower part from McHenry Power Equipment after struggling to find it locally. Art confirmed availability by phone, and the part shipped same day. It arrived in two days, well-packaged. Price was better than dealers near me. Excellent service.

Very frustrating experience. Listings are vague and lack the detail needed to know what you’re actually buying. After placing my order, I reached out with questions and was told it was the wrong item—even though the part number matched the listing. Despite admitting the issue, they refused to cancel the order, wasting both my time and theirs. Customer service was unhelpful and unwilling to fix a clear mistake. I would not recommend this company—there are far better sellers who provide accurate listings and actually value their customers. Now I get to spend the next few weeks opening a claim and returning the item just to get my full refund. Costing them their Shipping costs to and from me for their vague listings. They seem to think hiding their cancellation policy inside the shipping policy will protect them from losses, but it doesn’t. Their listings are not accurately described, and they do not provide photos of the actual item you will receive. The item is listed as “new,” so if it does not arrive in the manufacturer’s packaging, it is clearly “item not as described” and is fully covered under eBay’s Money Back Guarantee. UPDATED: The seller is now claiming dropshipping as the reason they can’t cancel the order, shifting the blame elsewhere when this could easily be avoided with clearer, more accurate listings. A part number should be enough—if it isn’t, then the listing needs to include the additional details upfront. I’ve been running a business for 24 years, and these are not valid justifications—they’re excuses that push their problems onto customers. Take your business elsewhere. The order hasn’t even shipped, yet I was able to order directly from the manufacturer this morning and it has already been shipped. The manufacturer does not have the policy this seller is claiming. I’ll compare the genuine, manufacturer-direct product to whatever this seller provides and update later. Based on other reviews mentioning items not arriving in manufacturer packaging, I have serious concerns about the accuracy of their responses.

BE CAREFULL ORDERING ONLINE! I ordered five small parts to repair my Echo hedge trimmer from mchenrypowerinc on eBay. I upgraded the shipping to UPS ground for $20 hoping for a quick delivery however it took them a week to actually ship it. It was packaged in a small flimsy bag instead of a box. When I did receive the package there were only four parts inside the bag, not five like I ordered. I contacted the seller about the missing part and two days later their response was: “I would advise that you double check the order, as our inventory is accurate and does not have an extra on the shelf. Is it possible that it may have fallen upon opening?” Wow what awful customer service! I had expected an apology and them to ship the missing item. The parts arrived in clear plastic bags with computer printed labels on each bag indicating what is inside. I received three clear plastic bags, two bags had a single part inside and one bag had two different parts inside even though the label only indicated one of them. This appears to be a careless shipping method. I photographed the entire contents immediately when opening the UPS shipping bag and it is not possible that anything fell out as the seller suggested. I sent another message stating that the inventory of what I received is 100% correct and I definitely did not receive one of my ordered parts. The missing part is an air filter which would not be difficult to see. mchenrypowerinc has yet to respond to my second message and my request for a refund for the missing item.

I called in the morning to confirm availability, and they had it assembled and delivered to my house within just a few hours. They took the time to walk me through all of the machine's features and made sure I was comfortable 1000% before taking off. From the in-store experience to delivery, every step was professional, friendly, and efficient. You can tell these guys take pride in their work and their customer service.
