I'd rate this business negative 10 stars if I could. They ruined simple oil changes on not 1 but 2 of my cars over different periods of time - once not tightening the drain plug at all and ALL the oil leaking out within a matter of hours, requiring me to get another full oil change AND another where they tightened the plug so hard, it would seem it was tightened by the Greek god Hercules! To make this even worse, they stripped the drain plug nut SO BADLY, bad that the entire oil pan will need replaced, costing 100s of additional dollars. Completely incompetent folks in my experience. Not to mention, being upsold totally ridiculous 1500$ fluid flushes on each car at the end of our oil change appointments - the audacity! AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE IF I WERE YOU. You've BEEN FOREWARNED.

Charged me 657$ to replace rear shock absorbers on Odyssey minivan. I didn’t know better but I did see that I was charged 415$ for the parts. Even OEM shock absorbers are 110$*2=220$. When I objected that it seemed high, the guy convinced me it’s a good price. Good for his sales tactics. Bad on me for trusting him. Then he said he’ll give me a 50$ discount. When I show up to pick car up, I noticed an extra charge of 56$ for “shop labor and parts”. He lied saying that this is an Illinois state tax and that every auto shop charges this. Complete lie. It’s not a state tax, and he finally even admitted that it wasn’t. I would avoid this place. Completely dishonest.

Auto Plus in Lombard is absolutely awesome! Quick, efficient, and very informative from start to finish. Thank you so much for the amazing service on my birthday oil change and tire rotation — I truly appreciate you all! Honest, caring, and truthful people who genuinely look out for their customers. It’s hard to find service like this nowadays. Highly recommend!

This was my first visit to Auto Plus as I had gotten off of Groupon a coupon and decided to use it d/t time for oil change. I found that it was easy to obtain an appointment that suited my schedule. When I arrived I found the service to be timely and beneficial b/c I received a very detailed report of the areas of concern that I needed to get addressed. The service was efficient and professional. I feel that I have found a great place that I will now take my car for repair work.

I originally came in for an oil change and was told I needed rear brake pads and rotors, which I agreed to after being shown the condition of the brakes. After that, additional services were recommended. The brake light bulb was presented as urgent, so I approved that service. An air filter and cabin air filter were also added during the process. While some of these items were shown to me, I did not fully understand that they would all be included in the final total, and I felt the explanations could have been clearer regarding what was necessary versus optional maintenance. Brake fluid service was also included, but I do not recall it being clearly explained or discussed with me before it was added. The financing and checkout process also felt confusing, with different instructions given at different times, which added stress at pickup. Because of delays and confusion, I ended up running late picking up my son. Overall, while the brake work was completed, the communication and transparency around the added services and costs made the experience frustrating, and I would not return.
