I had a problem with my 68 rfe transmission in my ram 3500. I made a few different calls and was referred to Tran star. The customer service was amazing super helpful in making sure I was taking the right part home with me. The price they had was 5 to 6 hundred dollars cheaper than the dealership. Plus the vavle body I got from them comes with a lifetime warranty. I believe that speaks volumes to the confidence in the part they sell. The warranty is through the part manufacturers but lifetime is life time. I would highly recommend looking to this company if you have transmission needs. 75 dollar core charge most places were charging 150 and up

I am on my 4th defective transmission from this company in less than 2 years. The first one was bad even before the mechanic gave me the vehicle back. The second lasted just over a year and the third was changed less than 3 weeks ago and is already bad. Now I am stuck with no vehicle for almost 3 months. No one at Transtar wants to take responsibility and I just keep getting the run around. I continue to have to pay the difference in what Transtar "warranties" for labor vs what a shop charges. Transtar needs to make this right and immediately fix this situation. edit: my claim number is 109825 Edit: It is March 11th and not a single person responded and when I ask transtar agents for a contact for the president, I was rebuffed and told that info is unavailable. Avoid at all costs because that's what this company will do to you.

Transtar is 10+ in my book. I deal with Scott and Paul on almost a daily occasion. Scott will go above and beyond to see i get the parts that I need. Working for a used car lot I build transmissions weekly and time is important, they know this so if something is on the other side of the country they will still get what I need next day.
