Jiffy Lube Oil Change

Got my wife’s vehicle in quickly. Performed oil change and only recommended the rear differential service that was recommended by Carfax and wiper blades, as they do need replacement, to my wife. Cost was as expected for the oil change. Declined other services as they were already scheduled elsewhere. Waiting area was clean and includes a TV for entertainment while waiting. Vacuuming and window cleaning were included with the oil change. Friendly and helpful staff at the Overland location near Orchard ST.

I came to Jiffy because I had a coupon for half off a conventional oil change. I was approached by an employee when I pulled up who asked what they could do for me. I said that I was here for a conventional oil change and a free brake inspection. The employee immediately turned around and said that he didn’t think my car could have conventional oil put it in. I insisted that it could and he told me to “get out” of my car. I was surprised but went inside and waited. He continued to argue that it couldn’t take conventional oil. He pulled up the record of my car and continued to argue that synthetic oil is recommended. I informed the employee that I have had the car only one year, and conventional oil was in the car at the time of purchase. I used this type of oil for six months before switching to synthetic because I was told it was better for my engine. It was not. I started having engine problems and wanted to switch back. Another gentleman came in and tried to coach this employee and told him conventional oil was acceptable and a special note on my file wasn’t necessary. The employee turned around, confrontationally, and said that it was recommended that I have synthetic and a note was necessary so they wouldn’t be found liable if something happened. He then began to lecture me on how they wouldn’t be responsible if my car broke down because of the oil. My car is a 2012. I FIRMLY stated that I wanted conventional oil. Finally, we moved on to the oil change. As they inspected my vehicle, this same employee came into the waiting room, repeatedly, to show me dipsticks. He said my coolant needed replacing and my right differential was dirty. He didn’t tell me I needed a radiator and transfer flush, price points for said services, or how long they would take to complete should I choose to have those services completed at that time. After this painful experience, a brake inspection was never completed. I didn’t say anything because I couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I won’t be back.

Fluid services = 5 Mechanicing = 2 People = 4 Nice enough guys. Very willing to help and talk me through things. Not unreasonable prices comparatively. Fine for fluids. Misidentified where a sound originated (I heard front driver's side. They heard back. It was confirmed to be front driver's side). They quoted me over $1000 worth of work. Went to get another opinion. The second opinion mechanic identified and fixed it quickly... for free. The costly work this location quoted wouldn't have touched the concerning issue. If you have your mechanicing done here, I recommend getting a second opinion, too.

I am so glad I trusted my gut and went to these guys. Jody and his team completely resolving my brake safety issues. My Honda is driving like a dream once again. Super fast service, and an incredible job. Hats off. Very much appreciated! A++++++

The guys on overland and orchard were the best. Very nice and got me in and out in 15 mins they even cleaned my headlights for free😁 i was so thankful.Been wanting to get that done for awhile but everywhere else wanted to charge me. So thank u guys, I appreciate everything. I would definitely recommend this jiffy lube 💯
