Southside Autowerks has been one of the best shop experiences I’ve had. Fair pricing, efficient service, clear communication, and genuinely respectful of your time. The team is knowledgeable without talking down to you, which goes a long way. What I appreciate most is how well they take care of my older MKV .:R32. They’ve helped keep her healthy and running strong, and I trust them completely with the car. At this point, anytime I come across a fellow VW or Audi owner, I recommend Southside without hesitation. Also, bonus points for having Top Gear playing on a constant loop in the waiting room. Feels right.

I can't say enough good things about Grant and Southside Autowerks. I've been VAG owner for over 35 years and i have never had a mechanic/shop so attentive, knowledgable and honest. I live 2.5 hours away and i went to Southside based on recommendations of various Audi/VW groups. I took both my A3 8p Vr6 for a timing chain and A5 B8 for a carbon clean to him, and he made sure i was completely happy with everything as well as going above and beyond what i asked for. He even offered to personally deliver my car to me for driving so far. They say usually you can only have 2 things out of 3 if you're getting a service done; Fast, Good, and Inexpensive. if you get 2 of these, your'e not going to get the third but Southside is all of these believe it or not. The quotes i got locally for a timing chain service were ridiculous but the quote i got from Grant was more than reasonable and he delivered it quickly and on time as well as taking care of some small things without me asking. I'm usually skeptical when it comes to other people working on my cars but I would gladly make the 5 hour roundtrip to get them to work on any of my vehicles.

Autowerks was recommended to me in a VW group on Facebook. I was surprised to see all 180+ 5-stars reviews. I went to check my car and how Autowerks makeы all customers 5-star happy. Grant (the owner) and Justin (technician) did not fix anything in my car so far but they explain how I can fix ABS module ($2200 just the part in the dealership + labor) for $1300 as well as offered an alternative just to drive it without ABS module. The latter explanation is not a fix but calms you down and make you aware and you can make educated decisions. I am grateful they gave me their time to explain all of this + that I can save money on changing timing belt not at 100 000 but at 130 000 miles. Also they explained to me how I can change fuel filter myself (DIY). That DIY won't happened in a dealership. A small thing but saves you a trip. And in general, it's a clean and nice place. And I got a t-shirt (on a picture! There is no way I am going to a dealership next time even to change an oil. Grant, Justin, thank you! Absolutely amazing experience, first impression was the sweet lady who answered the phone and met every need and beyond. I was quoted a $99 diagnostic test to see what was wrong with my transmission shifting rough. The young man who came out was very professional and very nice. He drove my car once, came back for 10 seconds and left again. He came back 3 minutes later and handed me my keys and said “I guarantee you it will shift smooth” and hands me a PUCK from behind the clutch that the previous owner installed. HE DIDNT CHARGE ME A DIME! what an absolutely amazing and knowledgeable shop with amazing techs. Will 100% become my home shop.
