$1000 dollars lost Took a promaster van for work in March because the heat/AC was not working correctly. Priced quotes seemed reasonable. They had to fix the actuator and that involved getting in behind the AC/ dash panel. Welp, at pickup the stereo system was completely blacked out. Nothing would turn on with any of the buttons or the touch screen display. I took it back and they said the (Pioneer unit) was broken. It was working perfectly fine when I took it in. But now they were saying it was broken. I took it down the road and paid $150 at a car audio shop (Sound Sensations) to pull everything out again and confirm that it was just required incorrectly at putting it all back together. Oh well, at least it wasn’t $600 to replace the unit. Remember this was March. Now it’s November Thanksgiving and it’s cold and a renter in the van says the heat isn’t working. Haven’t needed to run the heat since March-now. Call back Monday, they said they warranty the work. I asked about the timing since it was March, no problem so great. I pay for my employee to take it and his uber. They call back an hour later and now mention that is not warranties because it’s past 12k miles since the work was done. This was not mentioned before so I now I have to uber there and take to my shop because I’m not paying for them to diagnose something I brought them to fix originally. So, I paid $450 for the actuator fix $150 for the stereo unit repair $250 in refund to the renter $50 in extra Ubers And a combined 8 days of dealing with this across the multiple issue points. Plus whatever I have to spend now to actually fix it…. Really disappointed here. Really nice people. Just hate it didn’t work out so nice.

I was very sad to have to leave my last mechanic due to a move, and chose this team due to their proximity and customer satisfaction. Still, I was nervous when it came time to bring in my cars. From start to finish, front to back of the shop, I could not have had a better experience. Every interaction was friendly, thorough, and professional. Trista is a gem who helped the day run so smoothly. The real cherry on top was when I got to speak with Mike during pick up after the test drive. We have an old car that we are trying to just get another year or two out of, so of course it does not run perfectly. Mike identified some likely problems to make me aware, and gave me some idea of what to expect with longevity of the car. He did so in a way that was knowledgeable without being pushy, ending the conversation with explaining how we can fix everything or nurse things along. Being listened to and given a true spectrum of care has been rare in my experience, and I appreciated it from the bottom of my heart. I could not recommend this team more!

SM Autoworx recently did a pre-purchase inspection on a car my niece was considering. I went with her to get the inspection and I was so impressed with everything about this business! The employees were friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable, and the waiting area and office were super clean and organized! If the business pays that much attention to those first impressions then I know they will take good car of my car! I wish I lived closer to Marietta so SM Autoworx could be my regular car repair shop!

I had a great experience here. Called a few places about a last minute oil change and SM Autoworx had been the only place to squeeze me in. I’m a student with a time constraint so it was great to be able to drop in and be out quickly. Mike was extremely helpful and kind. Customer service was outstanding. They answered all of the questions I had and were upfront with everything. I will definitely be returning again. Thanks again!
