Precision Tune Auto Care

I’ve been going to this location for about 3 years now and taken several cars. They’re great at what they do and give fantastic frank advice and opinions about what is going on with my car. When I bought my current Hyundai Tucson they told me the cars poor representation and then that it seemed I lucked and it showed none of the telltale signs.

I originally went to Precision Tune because my truck was vibrating between 55–65 mph on the highway. I was told I needed upper and lower control arms as well as struts, and I had all of that work completed. After the repairs, a new issue developed: popping and clicking noises coming from the driver’s side. The shop identified a defective strut and replaced it, but the noise continued. They then diagnosed a rack and pinion issue based on observing “play” in the wheel while the vehicle was on a lift, by grabbing the tire and moving it to demonstrate movement. This was not part of the original diagnosis, and I did not have symptoms that would typically indicate a rack and pinion failure while driving. I then took the vehicle to another shop for a second opinion, and they found that the sway bar link had been cross-threaded or improperly installed, which was the actual cause of the noise. After having that repair completed, I contacted Precision Tune to share the findings. At that point, they were not willing to make any adjustments to the original bill. After the fact I checked the reviews and there were similar complaints to mine. In hindsight, I should have never allowed a business that specializes in Tune ups and Oil Changes perform a suspension repair on my vechicle.

I had a really bad day with my jeep- broke down with overheating 2 hours away from home (the fan died) and Darryl and his guys were so patient and kind when working with me regarding warranty and weighing my options to get me back on the road within hours to get home! They truly went above and beyond for me today and I could not be more thankful! 10/10 recommend. If I need anymore work done I will gladly be making the journey back down to have it done by these guys!

I took my car in because I was concerned about a noise it makes when starting up. After handing my keys to the front desk employee, he asked a technician to check the vehicle. While the technician was inside my car, he called the front desk worker over to look at something. As I walked over to see what was going on, I noticed one of them going through my personal papers in the car. I asked why they were looking through my belongings, but they ignored me and kept talking. When I asked for my documents back, it took them a moment before they returned them. I was upset by the situation but stayed calm to avoid escalating things. The papers they looked at included a price quote from another company, and after seeing it, they attempted to offer me the same price. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise not leaving any important or personal documents in your vehicle when taking it in for service.

Took my car to another shop before Precision and got quoted a ridiculous amount for brakes. Took it to Precision and not only was it about 40% less but they had me in and out in an hour. I have been taking my cars there over the last 7 years and never had a bad experience. Love them ❤️
