Pretty sure Summit does everything except tires. I came here first for body work then stayed for the mechanical expertise, for four cars now over 15 years. I make an appointment, drop off, sometimes walk down to Waller's Coffee to wait if it's an oil change etc. The communication is good even when I didn't have voice mail! And the work is excellent and fairly priced. Also when I sold my cars, they provided a comprehensive record of all services, no charge. You're probably not going to find a perfect mechanic; if you need a solid one that you can count on, call Summit. Thanks Summit.
View on GoogleBeen servicing an older car with this shop for the last year. Generally a good experience when you need a problem diagnosed. Recently brought car in with a burning oil smell. They found a leak at an engine gasket, replaced it, and claimed to resolve the issue. No further investigation into the root of the problem. Summit didn't run the codes, or troubleshoot further.
Three days after getting the car back, the car failed on the highway, going into limp mode. It was towed to a dealer, diagnosed with worn gaskets, 3L low on oil, and with a much larger repair bill. Engine rebuild to remove oil contamination from the exhaust system, replace gaskets, etc.
After speaking with the owner here, they simply stated that they solved the problem regarding the oil smell.
Mistakes were made in not identifying the underlying problem and instead of accepting responsibility, the owner claimed to fix the immediate leak and everything else was not related.
Disappointed in the owner and would tell others to be aware of what you pay for. The work we experienced was neither professional nor comprehensive.

When I called, instead of taking responsibility, I was told the delay was somehow my fault for not explicitly saying I’d be waiting at a coffee shop.
Even after pressing for an estimate, they refused to give me a straight answer. No accountability, no urgency, and no respect for my time.
An oil change should not turn into a half-day guessing game. Poor communication and worse customer service. I won’t be coming back.
View on GoogleThese folks are great, from the office staff to the mechanics. They've always been super helpful and one of the few shops I trust to work on my old Volvo.
Plus, when my girlfriend's Hyundai engine seized and we had it towed there, they found right warranty/recall information (that I couldn't find online) and walked me through process of getting it fixed by Hyundai (and paid for Hyundai too) - plus they didn't even charge me for all the help! They could have tried to talk me into paying for a new engine, but instead they looked out for me.
Their shop time pricing is fair, they're honest, and they've always done the job pretty fast. Very glad they're nearby!
View on GoogleI have used Summit for auto issues for over thirty years. I have never found a reason to go elsewhere. Rather than charging me for unnecessary repairs Marc lets me know if there is nothing wrong. In addition to mechanical repairs Summit does body work. Although unrequested, a Summit employee was nice enough to clean up (gratis) some marks left by a nearby collision repair shop.
