Decatur Pro Auto Repair: Mechanical + Collision & Paint Services

I had a great experience with this shop after my car was damaged in an accident. It needed major body work, suspension repairs, and airbag replacement, and it was close to being totaled. Theo was incredibly helpful throughout the process, especially when working with the insurance company. He clearly explained every step and made a stressful situation much easier. Thanks to his expertise, my car wasn’t totaled and now looks and runs better than ever. They even detailed it before returning it, which was a really nice touch. Highly recommend. I will definitely be coming back for future work!

The 5 star reviews here are fake: I am filing this complaint against Decatur Pro Auto Repair due to deceptive billing practices, failure to honor previous repair warranties, and charging for services that were never performed. The total amount in dispute is $942.00. 1. Duplicate Billing for Catalytic Converter Issues: On or about September 22, 2025, I paid the shop for extensive repair work to address emissions failure codes P0420 and P0430 (Bank 1 and Bank 2 Catalytic Converters). Despite this payment, the issues remained unresolved. When I returned on January 9, 2026, the shop charged me again for the same P0430 catalytic converter/gasket issue ($395.00 parts / $298.00 labor), totaling $693.00 for a repair that should have been covered under the warranty of the initial service. 2. Billing for Work Not Performed (ATF Service): During the January 9, 2026 visit, the shop billed me $249.00 ($160.00 parts / $89.00 labor) for an "Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Service." On January 17, 2026, I inspected the vehicle and discovered that the transmission fluid had not been replaced, as evidenced by physical condition of the components and fluid. This constitutes charging for services not rendered. 3. Failure to Resolve and Refusal of Refund: I notified the shop of these discrepancies on January 17, 2026. Despite providing them an opportunity to correct the billing and service errors, they have offered no meaningful remedy or refund. I have issued a Final Demand Letter on April 16, 2026, which has also gone ignored.

Excellent service and quality work. The team was professional, efficient, and my car looks perfect. I really appreciate the clear communication and smooth process. Highly recommend this shop! This is the second time I have brought my car to this shop and I have received great service both times. The price aligns with the great service they provide and I really couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

By far the best and most swift auto repair I have experienced in the Metro Atlanta area. Great customer service. Steve and Theo are very knowledgeable and they listen. The mechanics are great and there to do their jobs and not just hang around like I see in many establishments.

Needs Zero Stars Misdiagnosed the issue with my car and drug the process out for months with me having to keep taking my car back for them to fix Ababa honor their two-year warranty (that they bragged about in the beginning). Ultimately, they ghosted me and never responded to my inquiries about what their findings were. I had to buy a new car and the dealership told me what the actual problem was with my old car that Decatur Pro Auto should have easily been able to figure out. Now I'm out almost $2,000 and they still fail to provide record of their findings to this very day. Avoid Decatur Pro Auto Repair – Dishonest, Unreliable, and Unprofessional My experience with Decatur Pro Auto Repair has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. I’ve spent over $2,000 with them, and instead of fixing my vehicle, it’s gotten worse. The same issues I brought in with in April are still present today, plus additional problems that arose after their repairs—like rough idling and a loud rumbling noise while stopped. I’ve brought these concerns to them, but they have been dismissive and unhelpful every time. Despite multiple visits under warranty, they were unsure of the root cause after several failed repair attempts. They verbally admitted they couldn’t properly diagnose or fix the ongoing issues, but they never documented this, even when I specifically requested it from Steve. Their lack of transparency and honesty is troubling. Most concerning was what happened just four days after I picked up my car on August 16, 2025. Despite Steve’s assurance that they couldn’t replicate or figure out the problem, my car suddenly displayed warning lights, started bucking, and lost power while I was driving with my son again. I documented the symptoms, and it was clear the issues persisted and were dangerous. I ultimately had to take my car to a dealership because Decatur Pro Auto Repair couldn’t resolve the problems or provide a clear explanation. Beyond their poor repair record, they are not honest in their practices. They don’t document repairs consistently—seemingly strategizing their communication by picking and choosing when they respond. They push communication through their app but then selectively ignore follow-up requests. They rarely answer the phone reliably, making it difficult to get updates or answers. And don’t fall for their bragging about a “2-year warranty.” Human nature kicks in when you have to actually use it. They get tired of your repeated visits, and you’ll get tired of bringing your car back over and over again. Each time, they hold your car for days, force you to make appointments, or keep you waiting. Overall, I strongly advise against using Decatur Pro Auto Repair. They lack transparency, honesty, and professionalism. Save yourself time, money, and frustration—find a more reliable mechanic.
