Holler Honda Fairbanks Service Center

I have been here before and the experience wasn't terrible. I scheduled an oil change and tire rotation appointment for early morning to drop my car off before my appointment. I told them that I wouldn't be waiting as I had a breakfast reservation. They asked if there was a specific time I needed my car back, and I mentioned as soon as possible. I placed a call around 2 hours and they mentioned it wasn't done and they would call when it was ready. Around the 4 hour mark, I still received no call saying my car was done, I ended up driving over to the service center and see my car sitting on the side. No one had called to let me know the car was finished and who knows how long it had been done for. Now that was an inconvenience and I understand things happen, but my issue come from the part of carelessness with the service. It had been a week and a half, and I noticed something poking out under my hood, I wasn't sure if it was a bug or what as it was only a small bulge. When I returned home and popped my hood, I found this rag that must have been sitting since the service. Luckily it was wedged where it was and didn't dislodge and cause other issues with the fans, belts, or ultimately the motor. Definitely a disappointing experience and I won't be returning.

Update: It's been 1 week since I posted my review and sent Rob (service manager) an email. Zero response. Extremely disappointing. I brought my 2005 Honda Civic to Holler Honda Service Center on 5/11/26 for diagnosis of an SRS warning light and left disappointed with the level of service and explanation provided. I paid $147 for diagnosis and was told the vehicle had DTC 8-5 and that the SRS unit had "internally failed." However, I was not provided with a detailed explanation of what diagnostic steps were actually performed, what testing was done to rule out related electrical issues, or any meaningful documentation supporting the conclusion. What frustrated me most was that I left with more questions than answers despite paying dealership diagnostic pricing. The SRS light appeared around the same time the car was experiencing battery/charging system concerns, including an alternator failure, yet I was not given confidence that those possibilities were thoroughly evaluated before concluding the SRS module itself had failed. I understand older vehicles can develop complex issues, and I do not expect miracles. I understand diagnosis can sometimes point to expensive repairs, and I am not upset simply because the news was unfavorable. My concern is that the service experience felt incomplete for the amount charged. My expectation from a dealership service department is a thorough explanation, higher level transparency and technical detail about testing performed, and a clearer breakdown of how a major component failure was confirmed. I am hoping management reviews this and reaches out to provide clarification regarding the diagnostic process and overall experience.

Finally, a dealership you can trust! I’ve been going here for years and should’ve taken an opportunity to write a review sooner. Ron, my service advisor is extremely well-versed and is always on top of things. It’s a pleasure to deal with him every time. My technician is typically Abdool, he also is extremely well-versed in everything Honda. I have an older model pilot that has extensive amounts of work done to it because it has a ton of mileage and it always comes back and better condition than I gave it to them in. I may have purchased my brand new Odyssey somewhere else, but I have it serviced there. Recently, I took my Odyssey back to the dealership I purchased it from because it had a warranty issue. They could not find it even with an excessive amount of information about when it happens, what it sounds like when it happens, what the car is doing at the time, etc., etc. They told me multiple technicians tried to re-create the issue and were unable to and gave it back to me still broken. It took Abdool and only one test drive before figuring it out. They made sure it was under warranty and got it back to me same day! I really can’t say enough good things about this dealership. If you read my other reviews, I’ve had horrible experiences with other brands with unscrupulous dealerships, but I trust these guys.

This Holler Honda location employs the most honest and caring service employees I've ever come across as a car owner. I have been a happy customer since 2016. Ron, the Service Manager, never ceases to amaze me with his attention to detail ensuring that no customer concern is left unaddressed. Rick, who is one of the service advisors, goes over all the aspects of the maintenance appointments and genuinely cares about the happiness of the customer. These guys are more the reason that I keep driving Hondas than the cars themselves. It is hard to find such great service in the auto industry.

Recently went to the Holler Service Center for an oil change and tire rotation. Although it is a temporary location it was very accommodating. The staff were very friendly. The waiting room was very comfortable and offered drinks and snacks. There were comfortable chairs and television to watch, or tables if you needed work space while you waited. The wait time was not that bad so they get you in and out in a reasonable amount of time. Because it was my first service for my car there was a complementary no service charge which was a nice surprise. I would consider using this location again for any future service needs.
