If you believe time is a valuable commodity, this service department is not for you. Today was my 2nd visit. Came in for a B1 maintenance which is essentially an oil change and tire rotation. Arrived 7:42am, left at 9:45am. TWO HOURS wasted in what any other dealer usually does in 40-60 minutes. Acura euphemistically calls this "accelerated service" (check the picture and see for yourself). This wait time was a repeat of my first visit, which I thought was a fluke (it wasn't). This is completely unacceptable and the wait is not even comfortable. There's "free wi-fi and coffee" (wow, how uniquely generous!) but the employees loudly and playfully behave in the *customer* wait area as if they were in a frat house. In sum: a place to be avoided.

We drove (Emphasis on the word drove) our 2017 TLX in because several warnings had appeared on the screen. Of main concern was the Transmission malfunction warning. Service Adviser David Chirinos told us the Diagnostic would be $300.00. We agreed since every conceivable warning light was on. An hour later we got an estimate of $8,719.08 for a new Transmission. a recommendation to change the Timing Belt $1,899.95. Plus new Spark Plugs $609.95, Fuel Injection Cleaning $249.95 and Coolant replacement $189.95. Approximately $11,678.98. I explained to David the car was running fine and specifically the Transmission was changing gears smoothly. We took the car to a local Honda and Acura Shop. They changed the Transmission Oil at a cost $300.00. I asked they Service Manager about the Codes. "The car does not have any pending codes." It is easy to see why most people avoid going to dealership for service with older model cars. The car has a total of 55,000 miles and runs great.
