On June 25, 2026 I had my 2020 CX5 serviced for a variety of items that it needed; A receipt described all the works completed however, I noticed that they never rotated the tires and I was charged for that work along with balancing; they resurfaced the rotors in the rear and placed in new brake pads; however, during the inspection of the vehicle, the front brakes pads were low, and I was not advised of that; they did work on the control arm, and that was completed; Overall, I feel that the Technical service in the Bay Area, where cars are worked on, the left hand “may not know” what the right hand is doing when working on a particular task of the vehicle. The service reps were extremely courteous and polite, however, I was not very pleased with the Full inspection process because they left out certain issues that the car actually needed and was not advised of said issues. Thank you but I will be going to another location next time.

Nelson Rodriguez really made my experience great at Ocean Mazda Service Center. He sold me my first ever car and I fell in love with it because of the whole experience. Everyone here was great and super professional. Would definitely recommend him and the dealership to everyone!

Absolute joke of a service department, from the higher ups down! I hope they recorded my calls from them so they can play them back to the next mazda dealership I take my car to! I approved diag for 2 separate concerns, a transmission whine when shifting(likely the sycros) and my cat converter failing and literally blowing its self out of the exhaust. I have videos of converter fragments coming out and the fragment itself on the floor. Car is still under emissions and power train warranty. It took them 1 month to come to the conclusion that nothing is wrong with the car😂. I said BS and came to test drive the car with the tech. The tech comfirmed the trans noise and that it was issue and should be fixed. So they wanted to charge me over $1,000 just to take apart the transmission (which is under warranty) just to comfirm a noise which, we already heard! Thats not even the worst part. The car is now there for 2 months, and they tell me they couldn’t find shrapnel coming out of the exhaust. No shit! It all came out already! I told them to look inside the exhaust to verify if the converter is failed, they didn't want to. So after 2 months, they do not want to fix a transmission whine that was heard by the tech, and they did not bother to look inside the cat to confirm it failing, which it obviously did. I picked up the car, took it to another shop, and 2 bolts and 15 minutes later they confirmed that the cat converter was blown. Not coming back🫡 gross incompetence even from the mazda support line.

Good service from this branch. Appointment is prioritized and after examining the engine they explain the things that need to be fixed or replaced plus they help to solve the problem. At the end they give a final video. Everything is good. Thank you for the great service.

1 STAR – Shady tactics and sky-high finance charges. I came into Ocean Mazda Sales Center expecting professionalism, but left feeling like I had just been hunted down by a pack of hungry sharks. The salesman acted like he hadn’t made a sale in weeks—and it showed. The pressure was intense, and the numbers he threw at me were just plain insulting. What really rubbed me the wrong way was the financing. It felt like he was padding the finance charges with extra fluff—probably trying to squeeze in some backdoor commission to make up for a dry sales streak. The numbers didn’t add up, and he couldn’t give me a straight explanation. I know what a fair deal looks like, and this wasn’t even close. At this point, when my fiances lease ends, I’m turning it in and taking my business somewhere else. Ocean Mazda isn’t speaking my language—and they’re definitely not looking out for the customer.
