Kevin and his team of mechanics helped me finally diagnose an issue with my car that I had been dealing with for months, something even the dealership couldn’t figure out. They were thorough, patient, and took the time to walk me through the process. I really appreciated that they ran tests in front of me so I could clearly understand what was happening. Their honesty and transparency truly stood out, which is rare to find these days. I’m very grateful for their help and highly recommend them!

Since moving to LA, I’ve had two luxury cars. I shopped a handful of specialized mechanics and ultimately found that the HAUS SM was the most honest, most helpful and most affordable (yes, I understand we are still talking about higher costs for luxury cars, in general). When things need work, they explain (in detail) what is happening and even help me stack rank the work, if I can’t afford it all that day. I’ve never had a negative experience here, including times where the projects were bigger. I so appreciate working with David, Kevin and Wayne. I’ll never use another shop, if I can help it.

I brought my Mini Cooper here in November because I was hearing a rhythmic squeak from the wheel area and feeling vibration through the car and steering. I asked if it was safe to keep driving and whether it would affect the car in any way if I continued driving on it like that. Over the phone I was told no, it would not affect the car, and that if I was fine with the noise I could keep driving. In a text from this shop I was told: “The wheel bearing for noise… you can also wait till next visit and see how it’s holding up… Let me know if you want to fix the wheel bearing for the noise, or if you are alright to wait for that fix.” That framed it as cosmetic. Just noise. No urgency. No warning about safety, heat, vibration, damage to the hub or axle, or steering risk. I was never told it could escalate. Money was tight, so I asked what order to fix things in. I was told to prioritize the thermostat housing and water pump and that the wheel bearing could be done last and was “just noise.” I trusted that guidance because I came here for expert advice. Over the next two months, the problem got much worse. The car went from light vibration to grinding, wobbling, and feeling unsafe to drive. When I took it to another shop, they worked on it from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. straight. The bearing had deteriorated so badly the axle seized into the hub and had to be replaced too. What should have been a $500–$800 bearing job turned into over $2,500 in repairs plus alignment and suspension correction. They also found something even more alarming. One of my wheels was missing a lug nut and the threads were damaged. A lug nut is what secures the wheel to the car. That does not just fall off on its own. That is a major safety issue. If I had been in an accident, this could have been catastrophic. After the repairs at the other shop, the difference is night and day. The car is quiet, smooth, and stable. No shaking, no wobble, no vibration. That makes it clear how compromised it already was when I first brought it here and how much the issue was minimized. I now know that a wheel bearing is not “just noise.” It supports the wheel while it spins. When it fails, it creates heat, vibration, uneven load, damages surrounding parts, and affects steering stability. It is safety-critical. I should have been warned clearly. I was not. I trusted this shop to tell me what was urgent. Instead, a serious issue was downplayed, and it directly changed the outcome.

10/10 first time experience with Simur, Ray, Kevin, and Wayne. Abruptly I began to see smoke from under the hood in my 2014 BMW. Being new to the area, I panicked and went to research nearby BMW mechanics. I stumbled onto The Haus and gave them a shot. Incredibly educated mechanics and staff here at the Haus. They were patient and explained the results of the diagnostic tests. They then helped with prioritizing repairs based on urgency. The team was also quick to comfort me that the issues I was dealing with was routine wear and tear in my 2014 BMW. The Haus has become my go-to mechanics here in Santa Monica!

I had a wonderful experience here! Rey Mendoza is an excellent communicator, I had to leave the car overnight and he went out of his way to give me a ride to a rental car agency nearby that they have a partnership with. I was able to get a great deal on a rental. The guys fixed the mini I brought in a timely manner and priced fairly. I would go to them again for my mini cooper needs and recommend them.
