I recently required vehicle maintenance and was evaluating service providers, as I typically exercise caution with external establishments due to prior experiences. Morris Automotive was highly recommended by several trusted individuals, and I must state that their service exceeded my expectations. I met with Danny at the facility to discuss the issues with my vehicle. He provided a competitive quote and expertly addressed the problems, resulting in my car performing as it did on the day of purchase in 2016. I am now a lifelong customer. If you're looking for a great mechanic I highly recommend Morris Automotive located on 14th Street and Colorado in Santa Monica.

This is an amazing shop. I’d highly highly recommend. I recently went for a huge job (evaporator replacement) and had great results. As a younger woman, it can be more difficult to find a trustworthy & honest shop. I’ve been ripped off one too many times and these guys not only do great work, but are so incredibly fair in pinpointing an issue! I’ve went to them on a few occasions over the last few years and they’ll be my go to as long as I’m in the area!

These guys are the best! As a woman who knows nothing about cars it is wonderful to finally find a place where they are so honest and tell you exactly what's going on with your car and then go above and beyond. I have had a lot of things done here but yesterday I came in because the brake pedal felt funny and Danny told me I had to leave the car I couldn't drive it because I had an appointment I wanted to go to and thank God because my master cylinder was broken! These guys are experts but they are also kind and friendly and willing to explain everything. All of their customers are lucky to have them especially me

My neighbor told me about Morris. The first time I tried them, I knew I would like them. I’ve been going for years. Friendly, knowledgeable, they will fix little things that you didn’t even know about, as a courtesy. I also love that they vacuum the carpets every time I take my car in. I HIGHLY recommend them.

TLDR: warning lights immediately after repair, had quote but refused, repaired at Costco at no cost. I really want to like this place because the staff is genuinely nice, but it’s hard to recommend them. For some reason, every time I’ve brought my car in I’ve left with a new warning light- potentially trying to overcharge and scam? Right after the first visit for a routine inspection, the tire pressure light came on as soon as I left their driveway. They claimed they needed to replace a tire pressure sensor—which felt like a scam because this car doesn't even use those sensors (which I’ve only learned when asking another repair shop later.) On my second routine maintenance visit, they somehow broke the BSM (blind spot monitor) sensor during the repair. They tried to charge me for the inspection and repair of the damage they caused. Since my car has 180k miles, I decided to just live with the warning light rather than pay them more (*I had let the tire pressure warning unfixed from last time since I didn’t want to pay the 150-250 they were quoting for replacing the tire pressure sensors). The thing that made me write this review is that a recent trip to Costco for tires fixed everything. They cleared the 'issues' immediately for free—apparently, they were very easy fixes. Nice people here, but the quality of work just isn't there. Your experience may vary but if you are a novice in car maintenance, beware of overcharges and unnecessary billing- aka scams. For info: 2014 Mazda 3 touring with ~180k miles at time of visit. visits were for spark plug replacements, and engine oil changes. (Now learning to do DIY since.. it’s hard to trust anyone after well, that.)
