I have been living in Santa Monica for 14yrs. I recently purchased a Mercedes that would only start with a jump start. The seller told me I needed to change the auxiliary battery which I bought and took to E and E Automotive. Ed the owner of 26 yrs immediately told me I needed a new main battery, but as I requested he change the auxiliary battery for me as we conversed. The new auxiliary battery did not fix the problem and Ed only charged me a reasonable $40. Ed also suggested a few issues the car may have just by listening to the engine. I went to O’Reilly bought a new battery and sure enough the car starts and runs perfectly. Anyone who needs an honest mechanic who really knows about cars I highly recommend you give Ed a call. I had a really great experience here. I stopped by because of a scratch on my car and this was the nearest car shop. Eddy took the time to look at it right away. He even polished the most noticeable part for me on the spot without charging. I was really touched by how kind and helpful he was. It’s rare to find a shop that treats people like this. I took my 87 Regal to E & E automotive after taking my car to 2 shops that could not fix my car . I was very stressed and had lost hope that my car would ever run again! I called to make an appointment as he's always very busy with projects but was able to squeeze me in on a Friday! .Ed is extremely knowledgeable with these old school cars! He knew exactly what to do to get my car back on the road ! He did some adjustment to my Holley carb .installed an MSD dizzy and set timing and other adjustment on my 383 stroker ! I picked up my car the next day and I was soo happy to finally drive my car again after 6 months . I highly recommend this repair shop for hot rod builds !
