Title: Disappointing Experience with Lack of Transparency and Accountability I reached out to Executive Motorworks (formerly Toyo Tech) a couple of years ago to ask about their experience with older 1995 Toyota 4Runners. They assured me, "Yes! We are very familiar with those models and can definitely help you out." After dealing with various shops that provided subpar repairs—often failing to replace parts as listed on receipts—we were eager to find a reliable option. We hoped Executive Motorworks would be that fresh start, especially given our need to pass a smog test. Initially, they did some work on the radiator and recommended addressing several older components. However, when we got the car back, we experienced a significant loss of power. Despite our concerns, the staff couldn't provide a clear explanation. They began replacing parts and making adjustments, yet nothing improved the vehicle's performance. Eventually, they outsourced the work to someone who rebuilt part of the engine, which was concerning since we had installed a new/refurbished engine only about five years prior. After this, we felt unable to trust their judgment. We ultimately took the car to another shop and learned that the parts installed by Executive Motorworks and their "outsource" were failing, which was extremely frustrating. See attached picture of STACKED WASHERS instead of the correct spacers. While Executive Motorworks did offer to honor their warranty, I was hesitant to let them work on my car again. When I asked them to honor the warranty repairs for the faulty parts—even if made elsewhere—they agreed to "take care of me." However, they completely stopped answering my phone calls. Throughout all this, I remained super nice and understanding, simply trying to speak with someone who could help, yet my calls were ignored. To add to the frustration, communication throughout this process was lacking. We often didn't receive promised updates, and pickup dates changed frequently. I said I needed a concrete timeline (even if long) so I could plan for an alternative accordingly. While we tried to be understanding of the personal issues the shop was facing, the ongoing miscommunication significantly impacted our experience. Yes, everyone there is SUPER nice. Yes, everyone is trying their best at the shop. But it just doesn't cut it when it comes to the safety we need when driving a car, I needed EXPERIENCE and CERTAINTY. And after our long relationship with the shop it was VERY heartbreaking and disappointing to be -ghosted-. That is just not ok.

My Lexus is400 was preciously worked on at Toyo Tech when my car had a different owner, so I brought her back here because the check engine light went on. I told Jody, the owner, that my coolant needed to be fixed and possibly a leaky tube from my brakes. He could have scammed me on some more money but instead let me know that those were not issues right now. I got my air filter changed and the check engine light taken care of for $600. When I called they were able to take my car in that day, and had it ready the day after. I trust this company because lots of high-end Japanese business men bring their cars here for vehicle service and maintenance.

Jeremiah was very helpful in getting me in and out as soon as possible even though he was down 2 Techs because they unfortunately felt sick. Hope they feel better soon! Just 1 tech was available and he was very kind to help me figure out what Is the issue with my 95 4runner.

Definitely recommend! Jeremiah was great on the phone and in person. He was super helpful. I recently bought a 2016 Camry and took it to the dealer, they told me that if I leave without fixing lower control arm bushings I’m at risk as they are really bad… and they wanted to charge way too much, but it didn’t make sense because the car drove super smooth. Took the car here and they found it to just be fine. They said they look old but intact. I got some other maintenance items done here for less than it would have been at the dealer. Will definitely be back! Thank you everyone at Toyo-tech!

My son's 4Runner had an electrical issue. Dealer wanted to charge $550 to look at it. ToyoTech diagnosed and repaired the vehicle for less than $300. Had the car done in less than a day. Great facility, technicians are first class and the quality of their work is superb.
