The first time I took my car in for an issue with my heater, I had exceptional service with no problems. This led to me bringing my car back when it was time for my annual service. On this occasion, the service had a sharp decline. When I brought the car in for the interval service, there was an issue with the engine which I only found out after inquiring. Long story short, they had to keep my car for over a week. I was given a loaner, so that was a plus. The full extent of the issue was never provided in written form and the communication wasn't fluid. Upon coming to pick up the vehicle, this is where things took a turn for the worst.... The light interior had numerous black marks on the seats and A pillars on both sides. I don't understand how the vehicle was cleaned twice on the exterior, yet nobody noticed the black marks, finger marks, and other damages to the interior that were not present when the vehicle was dropped off. I was waiting for a survey, but never received one from the dealership. Additionally, given the way the car was returned, I would've expected someone to reach out but that never occurred either. I'd recommend being extremely cautious when taking your vehicle in for service here, especially if you have light interior.

DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE If I could give this dealership -1000 stars I would. We have suffered time and again with this as the closest Volvo repair center to our home. Do not waste your time, energy, or money even considering bringing your vehicle to this location. Go to the Santa Monica location even if it’s further for you and even if it’s dire enough for your car having to be towed extra distance. Then reach out to thank me for saving you a horrendous, expensive, and mind bogglingly bad experience. Most critically, this dealership will defraud you. Their goal and operation exists on fake “recommendations” to hike up bills that are unnecessary and scam customers. Just today when we came in for a different issue they sent us a 3.5k bill proposal for multiple service items that we’re just done a different location less than 3 months ago. (See point about how they are so below the level of service you would expect that we took our car to another Volvo for our 60k miles appt). This is just one in multiple iterations of complete buffoonery and chicanery from this location. When you ask the manager about the fraud he will say “it’s just recommendations” but when you bring your non-functioning car in for repair as an individual who does not have mechanic training and are asked what you need to do to fix it you are looking for honesty and expertise in what is broken and what is needed to fix the issue. You will absolutely NOT find that here. Aside from the fraud, expect for the manager to have no concept of the term “custom service” and treat anyone who asks questions with contempt and disrespect. PS. If you have the receipts to call them on their fake service suggestions they will get flustered and be unable to respond and then probably say something rude. Just proving their intention to scam customers with a purposeful absence of diligence and duplicity in how they manage service.

Every single time I’ve been here the service guys have said a million different expensive things are wrong with the car. I go to another shop and nothing is true. The only good thing I can say about this dealership is nothing. It’s hard enough getting service done here I can’t imagine how stupid you have to be to buy a car here. DO NOT COME HERE. Edit. Volvo replied and said that it’s okay to be unsure about recommendations? It was just a complete lie. The other shop I went to told me they had multiple complaints about that service station. Recently when I went in, Martin the service advisor called me a punk little kid. Yes I am younger but no I am not a punk. I work hard for a good reputation and Martin obviously does not. I do not want to be called a punk..

I purchased a brand new volvo s60 from a different volvo dealership and they forgot to include the key lock for the wheels. needless to say this caused a major hassle when AAA was called to replace a flat tire. Jose, the service manager at Culver City took great care of me and righted the wrongs of the other dealership who forgot to include the key with the car. i highly recommend Jose and his entire team for their understanding and quick solution to my issue. A++ all around
