The self described "former mechanic" that was allegedly helping me out landed on, even though the dealer I had issues with wouldn't even connect me to a single manager to discuss my issue while they were holding my car hostage to shake me down for money, and after ripping me off for $600 in services they couldn't even provide proof they did, a "free diagnostic" the next time if I brought the car in to this location was all they were able to get as a concession. In other words, something they're legally obligated to do and would have been done for free anyway. As if I'd ever go back to that crooked downtown Kia dealer again. Honestly, feels like there was some shifty kickback thing going on here between the state representative and the dealership. But they certainly provided no help to me whatsoever. Giant waste of time.

I reported a smog station for charging me a Electronic Transfer Fee to the DMV which is illegal. The smog station refused to refund me. The case was not resolved. They need to prevent smog stations charging consumers ETF for smog tests in the first place!
View on GoogleA company illegally claimed they changed their company name to a LLC and the BAR never verified the submission was real and sent to court they are a new LLC, which made me loose the case in court even though the company actually were the same owners as the old name.

This is absolutely the worst government program and a waste of people's time who are in critical need of getting a resolution to their automobile destroyed by a repair shop. I had a car that DID NOT need a transmission flush that Valvoline recommended to me. THEY SAID I should get the service. A week later my transmission sounded bad and I couldn't drive more than 60 MPH. Kevin Sanderson from BAR mediated the case. who I did not think was very professional at all, and also not impartial on the case. Why would I go to an unauthorized auto repair place that the manager hands to me on a business card? That's just opening the door for more problems, needless to say it could be a friend of the manager's. Also to add to that, after Kevin goes on site to Valvoline and getting feedback from the manager, I get a letter in the mail that he decided to close my case because the manager at Valvoline offered a non Valvoline inception facility to look at my car. It's extremely difficult to prove a transmission failure since an automobile shop has to take the whole thing a part. I all know is, I get the service, and immediately following that my car's transmission fails. A major waste of time and extremely stressful to have to deal with. I would have gotten more things done on my own by going directly to small claims to begin with.
