I brought my Jeep to TAD’s for driveline issues. They correctly diagnosed a failing double Cardan and completely rebuilt both driveshafts—mechanically, the result is excellent and the Jeep drives like new. However, two things undermined the experience: when I came to pick up the vehicle, the technician was searching around inside the cabin/under the seats (unclear why; nothing went missing, but it felt careless). More importantly, the Jeep was apparently left on overnight, draining an expensive battery; they jump-started it and that was it. I appreciate the quality of the repair, but I expected better stewardship of the vehicle and proactive follow-up on the battery incident. *Update: Dean called me personally, was courteous, and addressed both concerns. I wish I’d reached out sooner so he could have reviewed camera footage (it had already overwritten), but he took the time to walk through what likely happened and how they can prevent it going forward. Between the quality of the repair and the respectful follow-up, I’m satisfied with the outcome and will continue to use TAD’s for future needs.

So impressed with these guys. Built a new front shaft for 83 K10 project , remade the entire thing in 1 day. I couldn't believe it when they called the next morning "its done" WOW. Thanks to Steve & the crew for awesome work

Told Jeff my issue was having with my truck vibrating when I accelerated and rite away he stepped out took look under my truck pointed out some issues and knew what to fix . had me back on the road very next day riding smooth thanks for the good work .

The woman at the counter was exceptionally nice. However, the man she brought to the front to explain my needs was less accommodating. I explained that I needed to have the drive shaft on the left cut at the connecting unit, and adapted to the shaft on the right. (Pictured). 2 cuts, one weld, and a balance. Pretty simple. I explained this to the guy (sorry didn’t catch a name) and before I could finish he asked me: “is this for a BMW or something?” I said, well it’s a Mercedes. Does it make a difference? Do you not balance drive shafts here? He then said: “we balance here but I don’t work on bmws, sorry” I almost chuckled, and just came to the conclusion he didn’t want to do the job. No problem, so then I ask: “okay, well do you have a recommendation on another place I can get this done at?” He said: “there’s only one other place called Phoenix rack, but their work is garbage”. I simply replied with: “gotcha, alright well thanks for your time” and I left. Key things to note here: -This company DOES do driveshaft work. But apparently they “won’t touch” a bmw. - I bought my driveshaft to avoid them having to do anything other than modifying the driveshaft itself. -it’s a driveshaft, same concept as literally every single other RWD vehicle ever made. - Guy went out of his way to trash another company and couldn’t offer any alternative solution. I don’t think that was the owner, but perhaps one of his employees. I could have dealt with the poor customer serve and been on my way. But trashing another company instead of offering a genuine solution is what lead me to writing this. I’m just a car guy looking to get something done that I can’t do myself. Anyway. Seemed like w cool place if you only need general repairs on work trucks or something. The carbon driveshaft in the window threw me off seeing as that might be way more custom than what I’m requesting.

Called on a Tuesday to make an appointment for Friday. Showed up Friday and said they were too busy and to come back the following Tuesday. Did a test drive then left the Jeep with them. They found the front drive shaft needed the double cardan rebuilt and length added on. Unfortunately, I told them to fix it without asking for a quote on the work or a new drive shaft. Ended up being shy of $700 for materials, labor and fee for using my credit card. A new drive shaft costs about $400. Oh well. It finally drives smoother with just a little wiggle. I would recommend going here but make sure you make an appointment and ask for a quote for all the options before the work is started.
