Pete's is amazing service for an incredible price! I was in a pinch and low on cash so I removed my own transmission to lower the price, and during that I was thinking of a very persistent recommendation of this place from a stranger about a year prior, so I thought "what the heck?" I gave them a call and they quoted (not estimated, quoted) me a price that was a third of everyone elses! I took it there and after a couple of days it was ready with OEM+ or performance replacement parts (which they said was standard to help with weak points in the transmission.) 7 months later and it still drives smoother than ever! Will only be going here from now on.

Super fairpricing, great turn around time. Super easy to work with, came highly recommended to me, and I highly recommend. Zero complaints. The 1 year warranty is awesome as well. 2002 Ford Excursion, 4R100 w/ transfer case.

I’m very disappointed with this transmission shop. Over time, they seem to have completely lost their integrity. What used to feel like a trustworthy business now feels like a place where customer service, honesty, and basic compassion no longer matter. Instead of treating customers with understanding and respect, they come across as dismissive and uncaring, especially when concerns are raised. A transmission issue is already stressful enough without having to deal with poor communication and lack of professionalism. I can’t recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable service or a business that stands behind its customers.

Used Pete's Transmissions for a torque converter issue with my 2012 Tacoma. They quoted me a great price and honored their estimate. They did what they said they would do. They were timely and professional with the repair and I am extremely pleased with the results.

JUST MY LUCK. I needed a transmission rebuild. I had a couple of people recommend Pete’s. Did my research. Read reviews. Took it in and had the stage one upgrade. Got it back and the shifter wasn’t working right and every time I made a U-Turn it would go into neutral and then hit hard. Took it back and the yard guy took a hammer and beat on something. Said it should be good now. Drove it a few more weeks and took it back. It was better but still jumping into neutral. Yard guy checked oil and said it was 3.5 quarts low. Drove it a few more weeks. Still not right. Took it back 3rd time. Got it almost fixed. Now my rear main seal is leaking. Called a 4 or 5 shops for a quote and a couple of them said why didn’t Pete’s change while the tranny was out. Called Pete’s to ask. The lady said that they inspected it and thought it was good. So they didn’t change it. It would have been about $150.00 . Now it’s $1400.00. If they would have mentioned it to me I would have gladly paid the $150.00. I took it to brakes plus and they did the work and even fixed the shifting problem. Questions…Now that I drove it for a a month or so with it 3.5 quarts low on oil, what damage has been done for the long term? Since I can’t respond below, I guess I’ll just add my response here. Obviously you have me confused with someone else. I have been to Pete’s five times. The first was to drop off for rebuild. The second time, was to pay and pick up the truck. The third time the guy behind the desk asked if I was going to pay cash or card. I said I already paid the lady when I picked it up and he was more worried about weather I paid or not, he hardly stuck around after the yard guy took over. That’s when he used the hammer to beat on a bracket to adjust the linkage. The fourth time is when it was 3.5 quarts low on tranny fluid. Fourth was when the guy behind the desk actually wrote up a work order. I don’t think beating on a bracket is proper adjustment. The linkage was fine before rebuild. If there were other parts added, I was not aware of it. Please send me a list of parts so I can make notes of it in my maintenance log. When I called about the rear main seal, the lady said that they would change it if it was bad while the tranny was out for $150.00. I would have jumped on it if it would have been offered. I ended up paying Brakes Plus to install the seal ( $1500.00 to change the seal and fix the linkage. Works fine now. By the way, thanks for the apology. I just wanted what I paid for. The tranny is great now.
