As a single woman who grew up in a female-led household, nothing stresses me out more than car concerns. The fear of being taken advantage of is real, and I’m sure it’s something many other women can relate to. Several years ago, I initially had car trouble with my former ‘13 Toyota and ended up with a $3k+ bill from a dealership. They kept my car for a long time and charged me for what felt like many unnecessary labor hours. As someone who works in the medical field, it was disheartening to be asked how I could let them take advantage of me when I shared my experience. More so because it’s not something I’d ever imagine people could do on purpose. Needless to say, I still ended up with another issue shortly after and now come to Medina’s first. When I went to AutoZone to get an idea of what was causing my engine light to come on again, I explained my experience to one of the employees. He recommended Medina’s Automotive on 7th Ave and Campbell, describing them as a trusted, honest, reliable, family-owned business. Since then, I’ve referred other family members there as well. Even when they’ve found slightly lower prices elsewhere, they often end up dealing with the same issue—or new problems altogether. I still wholeheartedly endorse Medina’s. The daughter at the front desk is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, always greeting customers with a smile and eagerness to assist. Jr always makes time to help, and if they can’t fit you in the same day without an appointment, they make sure to get you in as soon as possible. When they figure out what the concern is, they make sure that you understand fully what is going on with your car and answer all of my questions repeatedly. They’ve taken care of my cars through a variety of issues, time and time again. To this day, I trust them completely with any car concerns. I’m grateful for their help every single time.

They actually explain exactly what they’re going to do and why you should have it done. As a girl in her 20s who doesn’t try to hide the fact that I know nothing about cars, I have never felt like I was trying to be upsold some unnecessary service and have always been treated with respect.
