Kelly Clark Automotive Specialists

I was notified at the dealership that I had some engine mounts that needed replacing. I brought the vehicle over to Kelly Clark to get a second opinion and an estimate, because the pricing at the dealership seemed pretty steep. I let Jesse, the GM, know that there were some smaller items I was going to take care of myself; engine air filter, cabin air filter, hood struts, ect. I was only concerned with the mounts. The estimate for the replacement motor mounts at Kelly Clark was substantially more than what the dealership quoted me. I was surprised, but no big deal. The price is the price. I paid the $115 for the inspection and was on my way. Yesterday, which was 4 days after my visit to Kelly's, I popped the hood to take care of those smaller items stated above. Anger and frustration were the first two feelings, that turned into just disappointment when I saw the engine air filter just sitting in the engine compartment. I know it was only 4 days, but I'm hopeful there is no permanent damage done to the overall health of the engine. I have a moderate daily commute, about 50 miles a day. I understand they were doing an inspection, but I also told Jesse I was only there for the mounts. If you want to check the filters, be my guest....but PUT THEM BACK IN!! This is just so unprofessional and blatantly unexceptable. I'll have to dealership take a look at the engine when they do the mounts. One and done for me at Kelly Clark Auto.

I’ve been taking our family’s cars to Jose at Kelly Clark for years. Jose goes out of his way to get me in and out of the shop quickly. He always communicates what is wrong in layman’s terms and is a great person all around! Integrity and excellent service from everyone at Kelly Clark!

Was recommended this place by my boyfriend’s brother who recently used this shop. Walked in and was immediately greeted with a creepy “hello there young lady.” Asked them if they could read the code for the light that just came on in my car and then maybe take a look/provide an estimate but it was already pretty clear to me what was needing to be done based on my history with the car. I was immediately quoted $200 just to look at my car which they stated was standard for everyone. I asked why since that seemed unusual and they told me it was to look at all systems of my car - except I didn’t ask for a full evaluation just for them to plug in to their computer and read the code but whatever. I did get the vibe that they were trying to take advantage of me so I left. Fast forward I am eating dinner with my boyfriend and I see the receipt for the work his brother had done sitting on the table. I take a peek and to no surprise he didn’t have to pay that $200 evaluation. It even did list the full evaluation and very clearly indicated he paid $0 for it. It’s worth noting we were coming in for a similar caliber/price point of work being done so I don’t feel they waived it because he spent enough. Disappointing experience and wanted to share so other women can be wary of this shop.

As usual, everything was top notch. Prompt, polite service and quality work. I never feel taken advantage of. They always keep after a problem until resolution, sometimes telling me to just stop back in if I am in the area so they can check quickly to see how things are going. Recently they handled interfacing with my insurance after my catalytic converter was stolen, so we got genuine manufacturer's parts and they stored my car for about a week while dealing with insurance all paid for by insurance I'm happy to say. I would highly recommend them.

I got three estimates- one from a company that starts with a M and does oil changes… the second was a “family owned place” in the area, then Kelly Clark. The first was $1000 but missed many repairs. The second wanted $70 for wiper blades- and missed key repairs- then Kelly Clark did a complete check of everything on my vehicle and gave me an honest estimate that was very fair to me. I am very happy that I found them and I will be back every time for all of my auto needs
