Brake Masters #122

So it started out great. The guy Jamie was being sweet to me and was gonna check my AC cause that’s all I wanted just to see if I needed to get a Freon because I’ve never did it before I work on cars, but I’ve never worked on the AC part of it so I also didn’t have the Hardware to check to see if my Freon was low or not because I do have electrical problems that causes my AC not to work anyways he sends my keys to the back to this guy with glasses and has my car for like almost an hour and they were dead, so I don’t know why it took that long then you bring the guy brings a paper to Jamie and they’re both whispers together and I get up and say what’s going on with my car because I’ve never had any issues with my car I just wanted someone to check the AC level that was it and he tries to tell me oh you got a crack in your radiator. Your car is overheating. never had a problem with my car ever I go back there. There’s water running down. He’s trying to show me that. There’s a crack first of all. I’m like there’s not a crack that’s water and I’m like my car never overheated before. Come to find out it’s the switch that caused the fan to turn off, but these guys try to get me to buy a radiator when it didn’t even need one. He didn’t even know what was wrong with it. They just tried to upsell me for some crap and because I’m a female, they just assumed I didn’t know how to do anything when I work on cars, but I didn’t have the hardware to check my AC so I think they’re a scam. They might be great for people that have a lot of money , to get stuff they don’t need. but for people that just needed help .they try to upsell them on stuff they didn’t need it ,so I’m freaking out thinking. Somethings wrong with my car all of sudden, that never was wrong with it before I got there, it’s never overheated before,never had a problem as soon as I leave there it overheated anyways it had to do with the fan, but if they know so much about cars, how did he not notice the fan wasn’t spinning and tried to say water down my radiator after taking the cap off and saying there’s a big crack in it, I had to go by the hardware and everything to do it myself I’ll never go back. Sidenote, my car‘s never overheated again since I got home and realized that the fan hadn’t kicked on. I don’t even get paid to do this for a living and I fixed my car and knew exactly what was wrong with it.

Was scheduled for an appointment today @2pm. When scheduling this appointment, I was told that it should only be 45 minutes to an hour max from the scheduled appointment time. Waited over an hour and my truck had not even been started. It’s not the wait that frustrates me, it’s the lack of communication. It was clearly too busy to honor my appointment, so why even schedule it in the first place and waste an hour of my time? Normally I wouldn’t take the time to leave this sort of review, but they did not mind wasting an hour of my time—I feel that it’s appropriate and well-deserved.

I had a really good experience and Jamie I believe his name was working the front desk was really helpful and friendly. He kept me in the loop and I was able to get my car serviced pretty quickly.

This place does way more than just breaks. But the honesty from the gm Jamie and the employees is just unbelievable in the shady world of mechanics. I have trusted these guys for years and will go out of my way to get my cars to their shop because of the trust and honesty.

Amazing experience, I will be taking my car here for whatever maintenance I need. Jamie and Greg were helpful and made zero upsells and approached things with a sense of humor and helped me out immensely, and the price was perfect for what they did.
