AMAZING FAMILY SHOP! They have great prices, INCREDIBLE turn around time. Any issues, resolved no questions asked. 99 suburban with a slipping 4l60e. They got it the day before thanksgiving and finished. It got me through the holidays then slipped again. Dropped it off in the yard before hours since I had work, and before I could call to tell them I dropped it off they told they already diagnosed and will have it ready by the time I got off. Can’t wait to return more business to them and would RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!

Fantastic family owned transmission shop. I couldn’t be happier with my experience with them. *Update* They put 3 transmissions in my truck. The first one crapped out just outside of their warranty period (12mo/12k mi), so I paid for a second no questions asked. Just assumed I received a dude and didn't fuss about the warranty being expired, just ponied up another $1600. Fast forward 20,000 miles, and the 2nd one has crapped out at 20,000mi. Took it to the shop and fussed about it this time (wife is pissed). Old man Wayne went on a test drive with me and experienced the slipping issue I was experiencing and got aggressive and rude, cursing electrical this and electrical that. I told him that whole I understand its inconvenient, it would satisfy us if they would throw a 3rd transmission in and see what happens. "You've got a GD electrical problem! There's nothing wrong with the transmission! I know ypu don't want to hear it, but you've got a GD electrical issue!" To which I respond with, "Okay." Then the old man has the nerve to mutter "idiot" under his breath. "Excuse me?" I say. He didn't say a word or even look in my direction. I ask him again, "Did you say something?" He replied, "No." Then I said, "Oh I'm sorry, I thought you said something." He then mutters something else under his breath that I was unable to hear. Upon arriving back at the shop, they tell me to take it to NASA Automotive Electrical in Glendale to find out what my electrical issue is. Well, NASA checked it out amd found nothing wrong electrically and told me to take it back to the transmission shop. He also didn't have anything good to say about Westside Transmission when I asked. I've since dropped my truck off at another shop, since this transmission is technically out of warranty and I anticipate the miserable old man will just get more angry and belligerent. Do yourself a favor and don't subject yourself to verbal abuse from a shop owner and go literally anywhere else. I can't imagine these guys will even be open very much longer with the way that old man Wayne is running that shop. With all that being said, their worker "Tommy" is an absolute sweetheart and I hope he finds another job at another shop sometime soon. The old man has cursed about him and said really nasty things about Tommy, TO ME! Very professional. Maybe just very old school, but we don't live in those days anymore, Wayne.
