Dodge Ram Avondale Service Department

Sat at the dealership for 4 hours. Had a 10am appointment for an oil change, brought truck back and tried to sell $8500 worth of services. After I declined the $8500 in services I sat at the dealership for another hour and 45 minutes until I decided it was time to figure out what was going on. Service advisor put my keys in his desk and left the building with no communication. Never got communication that the truck was finished. Another advisor saw me and actually helped me out so I could finally leave. While the second advisor was good, I shouldn’t have had to wait as long as I did. I’m a patient man, but that was a TERRIBLE experience. Oh, and they spilled oil all over the top of my engine

Brought my car in for recalls and got it back with a broken engine cover (which was broken outa pure arrogance) and 2 bolts and 3 nuts left on the cowl of my car. Throughout this process i didn’t receive one phone call about my service or an eta (Mind you i hadn’t in for recalls and they had it for 4 days) Secondly when i called back 4 times to the service dept. No one answered my calls or message, EVEN my service advisor. So i call the Service dept. directly and proceed to get hung up on within 21 seconds of ringing. Very unprofessional and poor communication, surprised this company is running given i work at another dealership and can see what real communication and skill is. At the end of the day i did See the Catylst was replaced, but they never informed me that the other recall part wasn’t even in stock. So i would have to bring it back in again, but never to the same dealership.

If I could give negative stars I would. I will never buy another vehicle from any Larry Miller Dealerships period. The service department is horrible on customer service. My truck was there for a month and literally nothing was done. I have been dealing with the same issues with this truck since I bought it in February of 2025. It has spent a good part of the time since I bought it at the dealership broke down. I never get any apologies, I never get any communication from them. They don't respond to my calls...voicemails..text messages etc etc. I literally had to do down their to take my truck still broke down and now I'm forced to take it elsewhere and pay out of pocket to fix my transmission that was already replaced by them in December 2025. I purchased their bumper to bumper extended warranty and it still not fixed. It will not shift out of 2nd gear and still leaks all over my driveway. I was told I would get a loaner vehicle but never given one. I have lost count how many times I had to take this truck back to them and each time it comes back worse. Last summer they fixed my front suspension and did not torque down my front driver side tire down enough and when I was driving it home not long after picking it up my wheel flew off and the truck crashed and I was stuck in the truck. I have been more than patient and given them tons of grace and yet I'm still treated like I'm nothing. When my original service advisor Robert Carter was their they were literally the best in service and communication. But ever since he left this place has gone down hill in service and shows no signs of going back up. I just looked them up on the BBB and this location has literally over 555 complaints in the last 3 years. We'll they are going to be at 556 after my complaint is formally filed. Everytime I bring the truck back for the same issues, it's literally a minimum of 2 weeks to a month before it's even looked at and one time it was there for literally 2 months. I don't know if any business that can be successful in service holding their customers out this long with no real communication or compensation of a vehicle being down this long. We are long past covid days and you can not use that as an excuse any more. You guys are a major dealership and your customers deserve better than this. I have personally been doing business with this dealership before Larry Miller bought them out. But moving forward I can no longer do business with you and will take my business and referrals elsewhere. I was in the automotive business for 20 years and will not refer any one else again to your dealerships. I hope someone reads this review and actually does something about it so maybe another customer does not have to be treated this way and deal with this type of service.

Absolutely horrible service! Went in to get my transfer case fluid change and see why my truck was showing an airbag light on. They then said my brakes needed to be changed, that’s fine I want my truck run I g great for summer. Once they gave me my car back I proceeded to drive, while driving I wanted to check my oil mileage and air pressure, the buttons on the steering wheel weren’t working, I deceived to check if the other side of buttons were working, they were. I then was wondering if my horn worked, it didn’t. I immediately turned around, went back and told them what we they did caused my steering wheel to fully function. And I know my buttons worked before hand because I checked my tire pressure and mileage needed for and oil change before I went in. The lady named Chey at the front desk told me she was going to ask the technician what happened. She came back saying the technician didn’t mess with the steering wheel (even though you need to turn the wheel during a brake repair, and to open the steering wheel along with other locations to check if airbag system is working ) and then had the audacity to say “ you can leave your car here for 3 days minimum with us to run a diagnostic that will cost you $300” hahahaha are you serious ? The problem clearly occurred under the maintenance the technician was doing. Just take the car back free of charge and fix what you guys had broken. Absolute horrible experience here!! I Spent $1000 that day on transfer case fluid change and new brakes, just to get sent home with a broken horn and my airbag light still on. Those are very important safety hazards that could save your life!! Guess they don’t care about that.

Ive been to this server center 3 times in the pass 2-3 months. The 1st time my RAM 1500 shifter knob stopped working so I had it towed to this location because it was the nearest one. The service rep told me I didnt have warranty anymore but would call me when they figure out what's wrong with it. About a week passes and I dont hear anything so I call in. The rep that helped originally tells me its currently being looked at and would call me back in a hour or 2 to let me know what's wrong with it and will give me a price. I never get a call back. I have to call back the next day to see what's going on and again he tells me he will call me back in 30 min. Never does, I end up getting a text or email (I dont remember) with what all needs to be done. I only select the issue with the shifter knob and a rear dif service. About another 1-2 weeks pass and I dont hear anything. I call the online number and no one answer, I call a few more times and no one answers, this is the middle of the week and day so they are open. I decided to drive over here and find out my truck has been finished i just never got a call. Also the service manager ended up helping me and they did end up finding out I still have warranty so he fixed that and gave me a free oil change for next time. A month later I made an appointment for the free oil change and I was waiting in the lobby for a hour and a half. I asked how much longer and they let me know 3 other cars are still in front of me. I had somewhere to be so I asked to get my keys and left. Next week I made another appointment at 11am. I asked how many people are in front of me and they said 7!! What's the point of the appointment? I ended up waiting 3 and a half hours for the free oil change. I won't be back, I only came back to redeem the free oil change but never again. They need to remove the quick service sign. Figure out why it takes so long. The techs like to talk and be on there phones i usually dont write reviews but Dodge Avondale gave me plenty of time to write this out.
