Chris’s German auto is a renowned area Porsche specialist. Chris recently retired after many years and has sold the business to a very capable former rally racer about a year ago. The transition seems to be going well and she is embraced by the community.
View on GoogleChris’ German is an excellent, reliable shop that does high quality work on Porsche. I had a need for replacement seals due to a slow leak on my PDK. They did a good job and it cost far less than the dreaded PDK replacement that Porsche dealers recommend for my issue. Update: After a track event there was an issue with blue smoke at acceleration. Chris’ German diagnosed it and found the ring seal at the transmission cover plate was failing. This is rare, but can happen. While the wait for the part from Germany was long they did an expert job in getting it repaired, tested, and out the door. This is the kind of repair that the dealer would say, “you need an entire new transmission-$20K please. I paid a fraction of that at Chris German.

They did a thorough and complete inspection to assist in deciding on a course of action, while moving forward quickly on the immediate coolant issues I came in for. These mechanics did a complete inspection of the car and systematically got it back up in running condition. They did an outstanding job and they stand by their work! Not only that but I called every Porsche shop in the area and these folks were the only shop that were willing to work on my car. I highly recommend Chris's German Auto Service.
