I was recommended to these guys by the O'Reilley's down the road. My Prius blew a tire, which shredded some of the wiring around it. The fellas here were happy to install the part I bought as a replacement, drove me back to my house, then picked me up when they realized that another wire was damaged, as well. No charge at this point, they wanted to go and get the other replacement part before discussing charges. They kept me in the know with their time estimates, communicating with me constantly. Everybody was quite friendly, even when a language barrier stood between us, and were happy to make sure that the best work possible got done. There was obviously a lot of love for the craft going on here, as one of the people that drove me to and from my house at one point was learning how to be a mechanic from his relatives working here, too. We finally got the part in hand, and they got to work, taking care of it within a day. And to top it all off, I was wholly expecting double or triple the price. This is an honest mechanic shop who genuinely has a love of the trade, care for its customers, and are all a real gem hidden away off of Canyon Road. Ten thousand percent worth your time, hit them up if your car needs help.

I initially came to Hernandez for a coolant pump replacement in which I provided the car parts and was charged a little around 2k.A week later I got my car back with the check engine light on, my gas gauge miss functioning, and my automatic stop start system failing, my car was perfectly fine other than my coolant leaking. Reputations everything especially with being a mechanic, never again.

I visited this auto repair shop to have my vehicle repaired, but the experience was far from satisfactory. The shop did not demonstrate the expertise required for proper car repairs. When I initially took my vehicle to the shop, I expected a professional and efficient repair. However, just a day after the supposed repair, I found myself stranded on the road. I had no choice but to have the car towed back to the same shop. After a week of waiting, I was informed that my car was ready for pick-up. Upon collecting my vehicle, I noticed that the check engine light was on. Concerned about this new issue, I immediately returned to the shop to inquire about it. The mechanic dismissed my concerns, advising me to drive the car for a few more days, assuring me that the light would turn off on its own. I found this advice to be untrustworthy and decided not to follow it. I sought a second opinion from another auto repair shop. The new shop conducted a thorough inspection and informed me that my car required major repairs. This revelation was concerning, especially considering the previous shop's assurance that everything was fine. Additionally, during my interactions with the mechanic at the first shop, I noticed a demeanor and expression of frustration that was quite unprofessional. This attitude only added to my dissatisfaction with the service provided.
