Straight forward no nonsense inspection and documentation. Shop employees were friendly and professional. Uber rides home were a nice touch if/when you find out that the work is going to take longer than expected. Went to Greg’s Japanese auto because dealership didn’t have an open time slot. I’m glad to have found Greg’s as they will be my go to shop from now on.

I’ve been to Greg’s Japanese Auto twice, and both experiences were excellent. Melissa and the mechanics are professional, honest, and very efficient. My first visit was for a transmission oil change, and I got my car back the next day. On my second visit, they fixed an issue another shop couldn’t resolve—and had it done the same day. I really appreciate their transparency—they provide detailed reports with photos of the repairs, which builds a lot of trust. Pricing is very reasonable, and they offer a 15% military discount as well. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be returning for future service.

My daughter needed a wheel alignment. We made an appointment and dropped off the car on schedule. At the end of the day we were notified that the car was ready for pick up. My daughter arrived to pick up the car a half hour later. Melissa then stated that after the wheel alignment was done the tech did a test drive and noticed a "Severe Vibration" and "Clunking" coming from the front passenger side wheel area. The tech wrote in his report NOT to drive it home and that it "Needs" to be fixed for her own safety. This is 5 pm on a Friday and she got dropped off to pick up the car. She then had to call to get a ride home. Why couldn't they have called her back before she arrived? They gave her an estimate $500 and said they could not do it until Monday. Greggs is conveniently closed on the weekends. I called Melissa on Monday. I questioned how they were able to successfully do the wheel alignment to begin with and Melissa told me about a "Little thing called a lower tie rod" as if that explained it lol. We reluctantly agreed to the repair just so we could get the car home. Later Monday Melissa contacted My daughter and told her it was actually the "Steering Rack" that was the the problem and quoted her $1,700 plus tax. I then called them back immediately and told them we just want to get the car back and to not repair the "Severe" problem that the tech had discovered. Melissa said they could put the car "Back Together" so that we can come get it. I told her please and thank you. We picked up the car Tuesday morning and took it home. There was NO "Severe Vibration or "Clunking" at all! Nothing, they were simply trying to scare a 17 year old girl into spending more money at their shop. Pathetic crooks and We will not ever be going back.

I called to make an appointment at Greg's last Friday the 1st of May 26 to have the A/C system of my Lincoln MKS checked and possibly serviced if needed. I was told bring it in early the following Monday (4th of May) morning. I left the car with them and expected them to call when the car was ready. I get a call in the late afternoon informing me the car couldn't get looked at because they were swamped. I left the car with them and expected to get it back Tuesday. That DID NOT happen. Again, the same story, they were swamped. I had telephoned earlier in the day Wednesday (6th) to inquire about the car. The service manager asked if she could call me back because she was busy on another line. No problem, right? I never got a call back. I drove up to the shop Wednesday afternoon (2:30) and the car still HAD NOT been looked at. She told me that the car was in the "Queue." I reminded her that the car was dropped off Monday and that this was ridiculous that my car still hadn't been looked at yet, TWO and ONE HALF days later. She informed me that appointments were no longer taken, first come, first serve. Well if that was the case my car should have been serviced by Monday or NLT Tuesday. I got my keys back and informed the two desk personnel that they should be ashamed of themselves for such mediocre business practices. They have lost a good previous customer. I have previously received fair service from Greg's (oil changes, A/C service, etc...) NO MORE! If they don't make appointments and stick to the estimated time of completion they will be loosing more business than just mine. I highly recommend not to use their services, There are still some reputable automotive repair shops around, just NOT GREG'S. Mad as heck - MLC South Hill

Left Greg's auto shop with a very happy heart. Went in for a repair on my driver seat lumpar support and ended up getting a wheel alignment because baby the price was very affordable. Go somewhere else with that, they will have you in a chokehold hahahah. The receptionist (with the African accent) was very helpful, friendly and she made sure you were well taken care of.
