I like to give all the facts and information, so people can formulate their own opinions. I was recommended to Transmission Sales and Service by my usual mechanic. I've had my 2001 Toyota for 20+ years. I was facing either replacing my differential completely, or rebuilding it. Once I decided to rebuild, I called and asked for a timeline reference because I am also a small business owner and use my vehicle for work 7 days a week. I was told the repair should be done in 3 to 5 business days. So, I made arrangements to drop my vehicle off on December 9 2025, a Tuesday morning. I did not receive an update or a phone call until the next day, stating that they were not able to get to my vehicle the previous day. Kirsty apologized, and said that it was on the schedule for today (Wednesday). Later that afternoon, I was called a second time to give an estimate of repairs. I was quoted one price but told immediately after, "Oops! There's more parts needed here I didn't notice the first time..." So, a third call back, and another $1K added to my quote. I was then told "I missed the cutoff for ordering parts today, so I'll place this order tomorrow..." (Thursday). I was told the parts will be shipped from California, so it will take "a few days" to get here. So, approximately 54 hours between dropping off my vehicle and receiving an accurate diagnosis of repairs. Fast forward to the following Tuesday: I received a call that the parts were finally received. They have had my vehicle for 7 days at this point and the repairs can finally start. The rest of the story is much, much longer: basically, the total timeline for repairs took 6+ months. Mostly, I believe to simple misunderstanding/miscommunication. I was told to bring my vehicle back "after 500 miles" for a safety check to look at the original repair. When I returned many weeks later, the repair was leaking. So, I had to make arrangements for a second time to get a rental car, drop off my vehicle, and wait for a phone call... This exact same process happened yet another time: bring it in "after 500 miles". It was leaking, again. So, another rental car, another phone call... Now, I pick up my vehicle for a third time. I am told, "Come back ASAP. It's either leaking or it's not." So, I'm confused why the two previous times I was told "after 500 miles". I believe this small miscommunication, error, whatever, extended the repair process by weeks and weeks and weeks, on more than one occasion. This third time dropping off my vehicle, getting a rental car... a different repair of the original repair was finally done (this is all covered under their service warranty). I bring my vehicle back in for the fourth time after just a few days because "it's either leaking of its not". I'm finally told my vehicle is "dry as a bone" and no longer leaking. They're confident the repairs are finally completed. It is now May 4 2026, six months after my original appointment on December 9 2025. I know that having an older vehicle comes with its own issues. I understand that parts may be difficult to come by, and regular services can become easily complicated. I would recommend the Shop to others, but REALLY hoped to be able to leave a five star review - the six month timeline for repair is the reason I am omitting one star.

AVOID THEM AT ALL COST! Let's start by saying I brought them a working, running, shifting, driving truck. I came in for a check on my transmission before my warranty expired. I wanted them to look at everything to make sure I was good. I specifically asked NOT to replace any sensors or connections. Couple weeks go by, I now have a new trans, and a bill of $950 for a harness I didn't need or want. After, for 6 weeks my truck was going back and forth to them for a faulty torque converter light. After the 6 weeks, nothing is fixed and they basically sent me on my way with multiple excuses. My truck is too old, my wiring is messed up, my tuner is the issue and so on and so on. So I removed the tuner, rebuilt my PSOM, did everything I could to remove the excuses. I've since spent $3k+ on what was supposed to be a "warranty" check up. Including a rental car. Last Wednesday May 13th, I called them and told them what I've done, how I don't think this is fare and need them to help. I feel this shouldn't be on me. My truck had NO issues before them. No wiring issues, no shifting issues, nothing. Now it does. She mentioned she would talk to everyone and get back to me. That was a week ago! Still no contact. They like to do what they can, get money and just hope all this goes away. Terrible business model. I would be embarrassed to know that someone has had to go through this. I would've done whatever to make it right. Not just forget them and hope it all dissolves itself. You would be better off pushing your truck passed this place to the next one. If they tried to reach out and help, this would be a different story.
View on GoogleKirsty at the front desk honestly rebuilt, transmissions, too, which I was shocked at, but she’s been there 35 years. I investigated this company a lot before I had My Transmission pretty much totally rebuilt. They were local company. I could’ve got a rebuilt transmission much less, but they would have to ship it and I would have to install it and I didn’t want to go through that. Honestly, would’ve been a little bit more money if I did that. But they did rebuild my transmission. I thought I had a problem with it. I did everything executed everything exactly as the warranty. And again, Christie was very nice about making this happen because I was rushing to Las Vegas to see my children before Christmas. She found me a place in Idaho that would give me my 500 mile warranty. I had a problem and I thought it was the transmission because it was banging very hard and when I took it back to them under the warranty. They were very nice we drove around and he said it was a misfire on cylinder 1 Five and eight. Everything in the transmission was working perfectly, so I would absolutely recommend them
View on GoogleOne of a kind! I needed a diagnostic test for my clutch and transmission. From beginning to end, everyone was amazing! So kind, knowledgeable, patient, helpful and understanding. They were so quick once I got it to the shop. Kirsty called me the next day and gave me a detailed explanation of what they did, their recommendation, and the cost. She was so patient and nice and explained things again to me several times when I was confused. She was very friendly and honest. It took a few days to come get my car, and they never made me feel rushed. When I came to pick up my car, Brian and Allen were on top of it! I didn’t call ahead, but they still took care of us and were so nice. They stopped everything and put together my paperwork. From the moment we walked in, everyone was smiling and pleasant. I’ve never had such a great experience. Car problems are the worst, but they actually put me in a good mood. They charged a fair price to fix my car, but I just can’t afford it right now. They gave me tips and notes about what to do and look for when I do get it fixed in the future. I never felt like they were trying to sell me, they are all just super kind people! I wish more places were like this one. It made me want to bring the car back to them- and I will anything happens in the future and I need it fixed. I will recommend this business to anyone and everyone who needs help with their car. I can’t explain how much I appreciated them. From their work, to the service, and just their genuine warmth and kindness.
View on GoogleSimple and straightforward service. I appreciate how they broke down the repairs needed, showed me exactly what was the issue while my truck was on the lift (even if I don’t completely understand it all 😂) They were on time with their timeline for the most part, and stayed on budget with exactly what I was quoted. Only area for improvement - I did have to call to get updates, rather than them calling me to keep me in the loop. But not enough of an issue to warrant less than a 5-Star experience overall 🙂
