I went to this auto shop about a year and a half ago when my alternator went out in my van & they quoted me 1.5k for repairs. Just last weekend the alternator stopped working again, and I decided to do it myself this time. First, the tools and part I needed to complete the repairs myself were less than half the cost I was quoted at the shop and only took me a day to complete, but what really upset me was when I found out they had put a refurbished alternator in rather then a new one which in turn failed much more quickly. Its upsetting to see a refurbished one had been put in that only lasted another year and a half after being quoted such a high cost. For this reason I cannot recommend this establishment. If you can't use quality parts then I'd rather do the work myself and know I'm putting in something that's going to last. I saved over a grand just doing the work myself and have the peace of mind in knowing I got to shop for a quality/upgraded alternator (and new). see pics for the alternator I took during the work I did. Says remanufactured on the label.

This review is long overdue. A bird decided to make my Honda CRV's grill their home a few months ago. I didn't feel confident enough to remove it by myself. My Google search for mechanics in Burien yielded Richard's shop and I decided to give it a try. He not only removed the bird's nest in less than 10 minutes. He didn't charge me a dime!! I have an oil change package with the dealership for the next 7 years and they gave me a quote of almost $300 to remove that bird's nest. I have another car (2016 Mazda) that I plan to bring to Richard for all my car maintenance issues. You sir have found a customer for life. This guy is the real deal. Professional, competent and honest. I owe you Richard.
View on GoogleLook no further for a trustworthy mechanic. Richard is great, easy to talk to, and has always done right by me. He takes the time to explain things so non-car savvy people can understand. He'll let you know if a pricey repair can be put off until later, and he'll tell you how to know when it's time to get it fixed. My car's old and needs some pricey repairs now and then but I feel secure knowing it's in good hands here. I'll happily be a customer for life.

Recently I bought a low mileage 1998 Chevy S-10 and had the guys at Burien Auto Repair do some suspension work on it. They also checked out some other systems when I told them I was taking that rig on a long road trip. It's been laying down the miles without missing a beat ever since.
