MARTYS' MOBILE MECHANICS

I've been waiting for Marty to finish a repair of my 2011 Lincoln MKX since November 16, 2025 and this review is being posted June 15, 2026, I waited because we thought he would finish the job and honestly because he was so combative and didn't want my car to be a victim of his anger. So many excuses but mostly he just doesn't answer any text, phone calls or emails. We are a eight hour drive from him. In January we drove down and let him know we were there. He hid inside his business/apartment as he is living at the shop, as we waited for two hours. Finally caught his girlfriend outside and he finally came out. Only to give us more excuses about when he would be done. We drove back over there in Feb and he hadn't made any true progress, only showed that he couldn't get a bolt removed. Also of note, the car was left unlocked with the hood up and there were leaves all over the engine compartment. He then said that he "gave us his word" that he would have the car done by the next day, Feb 8, 2026. We stayed the night went back the next morning and no progress had been made other than removing the troublesome bolt. So honestly I have no idea of the quality of his work as he hasn't finished the job. He is terrible at communications. Update 06/23/2026 Drove down and found my car had been abandoned in an adjacent lot near Marty's shop. The car was unlocked and the driver's window partly down and the sun roof open. The inside was ransacked and there is parts removed on the dash. The navigation SD card was not in the slot. The contents of the glove compartment, center console and a cubby near the gear shifter had been removed and tossed in the floor and front seats. Marty had care custody and control over my vehicle and he did not protect my property. We had the car towed to a new shop. This is a one owner car that has always been maintained at the dealer. The new mechanic took a look and found that the motor wouldn't turn. I asked him to see if the timing was out and he agreed to take the oil pain off and found in the oil pan: a socket, an extender and leaves in the oil take up. Marty put this car back together with all of that in the oil pan! June 23/24, 2026 Finally got a response from Marty but his only concern was the negative reviews placed by other people who knew of my situation. He said he would talk to me about my car once the other people removed their reviews. I told him that I don't have control over others who have decided to give him a review based on my experience with documentation and photos. Apparently back in Feb 2026 he had finished installing the new parts and took the car on a 40 minute road test. He sent a text message that he was about to test drive stating there was all kinds of quality control issues with the parts he installed, the parts he ordered himself. We didn't hear from him after that road test. March 16th Marty sent Henry my husband a voice memo via text: I have news and news and more news. I'm very eager to discuss the details with you, please give me a call at your earliest convivence. Henry called but Marty never answered. The next time we heard from him was after I sent a certified letter that he didn't accept and I emailed, texted and regular mailed the same letter so that he could read and respond. His only response was on On Thursday June 4th at 3:53 pm he replied: "I will call you today, we just had a baby 5/26" He never called. He is combative and very defensive when we ask questions as if it is our fault that he hasn't gotten the work done. He said he would finish the job and never did. Now I will have to get a new motor to fix the damage he has done to my car. I do not recommend Marty's Mobil Mechanics.

I called Marty around 7:00 he got out to where I was located and was nothing but kind and respectful. I was talking to him and expressed and interest in walking through the process of changing my battery and taking a look at my engine and he showed me what he was doing and taught me something I wanted to learn. Marty will definitely be my go to call from here on out was probably the most pleasant automotive experience I’ve ever had!!!

My sons starter on his car went out on him on Saturday morning, Marty was able to get to us first thing Sunday morning. Had to work till almost 2pm, but get him back on the road that day. Much appreciated and would definitely use him again.

I was stuck doing some work on my jeep. I called and Marty was very professional and prompt with giving me a quote (which was very reasonable) and pulling up to my house himself to help me finish the work. Not to mention, it was Memorial Day weekend and this was like 8:30 on a Saturday night. If you need some work done and can’t make it to the shop, I would definitely recommend giving this guy a call and letting him come to you.

I had a terrible experience with Marty’s Mobile Mechanics. Marty came out to diagnose my car on a Friday. He looked over the car and diagnosed the problem as a bad alternator. He charged $75 to come out and $150 to diagnose the problem but told me the diagnoses would be “free” as long as he did the repairs because it would be a credit towards the fix. At this point everything seemed fine. It was late on a Friday so he said he would call back Saturday with an estimate. He did not contact me Saturday and I had to reach out to him on Monday to get an update to which he replied “I’ll update you soon”. I didn’t hear back from him until Wednesday. On Wednesday he left a message saying my alternator had come in and that they would be able to come out and fix it that day. We discussed a time and I moved my work schedule around to be available between 2:30-6:30pm. He told me he would be here at 2:45pm on the dot. Marty never showed up that day and when I called him around 4:00pm he text me and said “I’ll call you back”. I did not hear back from him. Thursday morning I text Marty and told him I had never heard back from him and was very concerned about getting my car fixed as it was turning off while driving. He said rain on Wednesday delayed repairs but guaranteed someone would be out to fix the car Thursday. I again adjusted my schedule so that the car would be available between 1:30-5:30pm. By 4:00pm I tried calling Marty to get an update but got no answer. I text him and asked if someone was still coming out today to which he replied “yessir”. By around 5:30pm I text and asked if he had an eta. I had not received a reply and Marty was not answering my calls at this point so my boyfriend called from his number at 6:00pm and Marty picked up right away. My boyfriend expressed that we were very concerned about the car and needed to have the repairs done and Marty told him that he would definitely have someone out to fix the car and gave an estimated time of 7:00pm. No one had arrived by 8:00pm so I again text Marty and asked if someone was still coming out and again did not receive a reply. I called Marty again at 9:00pm and never received an answer and no one ever showed up to fix the car. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional business. Marty’s lack of transparency and communication is astounding. He never had the decency to let me know he would not be able to make it out on either Wednesday or Thursday. I understand that rain would cause a delay but that could have easily been communicated. Instead he just never shows up. It also very much felt like he was intentionally ignoring my calls and messages. Marty offers “free” diagnosis if you go with him for repairs but makes it next to impossible to actually get the repairs completed. Although in my case it was probably a good thing he never did repairs. The real kicker is that I took my car to a shop early Friday morning because I could no longer waste entire days waiting on Marty’s empty assurances and they told me that the alternator was not the problem and was operating just fine. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty sensor and fixed it right away. I wish I had never contacted Marty’s Mobile Mechanics. It would have saved me a lot of time and stress. I also would not have wasted $225 on a bad diagnosis.
